what about the modded bios by tic tac its better than oficial 18 ????
not by a long shot, tictacs modded bioses are far too old, he modded a few 1.2\1.3 bioses only, the official bios18 is far superior, with the beta19 looking very promising

all i can do is get things checked off one by one, im dealing with what are the more immediate problems and the not quite so drastic (aka less users) with other problems like 4x512mb, though abit arent the only guilty party for that, i hear there are others.
Ket, I have same mobo and same ram and i have the 1T issue too ...
But i found what to do !
When i put burst lenght to 2Beats, my system dont power off at windows loading ! I am stable at 290 1:1 1T with default timing !
Do you try it?
Sorry for my english, i am french...
The burst length is dependant on system to system, however i have found setting it to 2 or 4 beats does help, im still playing around with Beta19 to see if i can improve timings with 1T, i have a few ideas kicking around in my head, i'll get down to trying them when i can, but it is official, 1T is far from optimised in beta19 but 1T IS finally working! it only took abit like what? 8 bios revisions to even start working on the problem
and yes i know, im like a dog with a bone :D but hell, if thats what it takes to get results, so be it.
Well I don't know what problem I am having, but 2T or 1T it's the same so I must not have the issue. When playing BF2 or World of Warcraft I get what looks like tearing of flashy lines in the screen which looks like artifacts you could say...but my video card is top notch and has never been overclocked. The game also sometimes will just exit or my computer will restart with the lovely blue screen. Last one I got was like IRQL not less or equal. What the heck is this dealing with?Quote:

Globaly i cant do more than 290 1T or 2T without loosing stability (with all bios release). Can it be my memory controler ?
so this board is finally coming along?
Ket, what is your max HTT at 2T ?
Disreguard my previous post. I happily found that there is a bios update for the eVGA 7800GT that I was unaware of that completely fixed my problems. So beyond that I see no problem running 1T since my problems have been fixed by updating the bios on my video card.Quote:

with 2T i got up to 300-310HTT before i got bored and decided to move onto other things, though that was with only a single 512MB stick of my G-Skill TCCD in. its also worth noting that if your getting memory problems, despite what abit say, moving to the 2 red slots can help if not cure problems completely in some cases.Quote:

That would be not the memory controler of my venice the cause ?
My venice 3200 + is a lbble 0520, 290*9 at 1.625v, thus it is not the worst but not the best either
That holds how much on average this kind of proc in sync? 300-310 Htt?
And opteron?
does 1T or 2T matter when at max HTT?Quote:

As for your memory controller, its difficult to say, but given the different type of ICs ive used on the fatal1ty i would be quicker to point any blame at DRAM compatability still as according to abit their boards dont support high density RAM, in other words, their too lazy to sort that bug out, but beleive me when i say i'll get them fixing everything i can.Quote:

All i can do now is waiting for bios 19... :slobber:
do the later bioses still have the 3.55vdimm option?
I'm thinking of flashing to a later bios to get rid of the temp probe problem
im not sure how far back it goes, but bios18, beta19 only go to 3.4v, i think bios17 might still have 3.5v though.
mmm I might play with a dfi nf4 board instead thenQuote:

actually 3.4v is exactly what you get, im surprised they removed 3.55v as it didnt undervolt that badly - 3.5v to 3.45v, hell ive seen a lot worse.
The latest official bios with 3.55v vdimm is the 15 bios.. also the 16beta did have 3.55v if i remebered correct.
Question on adding more boot device options on the latest BETA 19 or official 18. I have been following this forum stream for quite some time and it is encouraging that Abit appears to be having more luck with the 1T timings now. My main concern beyond the 1T however, how do I add more boot device options in the Beta 19 or Official 18? I am currently using the modified Bios 13 and I have no problem booting from devices on my RAID card, but I lose these boot options when I upgrade to the ABIT Bios. Anyone know if it is a minor change in the BIOS I could handle via some HEX editing or if I will need to wait for a newer Tic-Tac BIOS revision instead? Thanks,
-Mali
I have a problem in mine fatal1ty an8, that start to describe:
When I disconnect board of power, always that I come back to bind asks for to introduce the values of HTT.
How I can decide this?
I am with 10*285HTT, 1.575vcore
probably have to wait for a modded tictac bios, if he ever does another one.
hornet, sorry man, not quite getting the jist of what your saying :-S
