I got the exact same batch #, i would be curious to know how far you have pushed it and how much volts.Quote:

I'll try to catch #1 AM3 8800GTS this afternoon with the XBX2, Commando can't
edit : ekkk, maybe more #2 AM3 :P
Thanks for the testing, maybe the 975x vs 965 is only equal with the quad core? You sent me some 3d06 scores, comparing a 6600 @ 3.2ghz on badaxe2 vs a 6600 @ 3.7ghz on p5b deluxe and the scores were pretty much the same. How could it be different with a quad core?Quote:

I see your sig says you're at 3.8 with that chip, could you expand on that?
i love this board and i decided to cancel my commando order... do u guys think i make a correct decision? :(
p/s - in dilemma~
Well my last orthos 8.5 hr is stable at 3.8ghz. I have done 4ghz benchable, and right now im running 3860mhz but didnt have the time to test more then 2.5hours in orthos, but didnt failed.Quote:

So far its the best 6600 i tested, it runs pretty hot tought... Dont expect to reach 4ghz if youre afraid of temps over 70c eheh.
Those voltage arent nice for every day use so at 3860 i use 1.475vcore, 1.325vfsb, 1.625vmch, 2.0vdimm. Load temp are 68c.
Guys, i have 4 gig of OCZ ATI Cert DDR2800 in my board now, i CANNOT for the life of me get this rig to run 3.6 STABLE no matter how/what i try. I can run Orthos on just the cpu, and it will run for hours on end, as soon as i tyr it on the cpu/memory, it red-screens within 3-20 seconds, thats what is leading me to believe that my current memory is at fault... I also cannot even think about switching "straps", it will ALWAYS go back to the 533 mem ref mode after it fails to boot, and thats even trying at stock settings. I'm starting to get miffed here, i got this da,n OCZ stuff cause it wsa touted as being for "crossfire", but im not impressed to say the least....
I had the proc to 3.8 last night, by setting the mem freq to 400, and upping the fsb, it ran Orthos on the cpu fine, but when i tried the blend, instant red-screen...
This is killin me, anybody have any ideas??
try with 2 sticks?Quote:

As heikis suggested: 2 sticks to start
Remove 1 of the 1900s
Run a full memtest86+ first.
Go from there.
managed this tonight
12.282s 1M
Thank's for the pointers guys, ill give em a try....
I wish I had some ideas.. I just RMA'd my board (exchanging for another one) cause of the exact same problem. You should check out my previous posts.Quote:

I managed to get 455FSB benching superpi1M, but it's not really stable
i guess it needs MCH vmods :/

I tested how -5'C environment affects the max FSB. well I managed to POST at 470FSB, managed to get into Windows at 465FSB and managed to run Spi1M at 460FSB.

I also plan running subzero air today :)
Cool, now on to more fun :clap:Quote:

Nice work Supertim0r
You are really making me think about ditching my XBX for the duece :D. Alas I just got the rest of my watercooling so I will have to wait.
What is the outside temp in QC?
-15c :)Quote:

I seemingly somehow killed a pair of Dominator Cas3 at rated speeds and voltages on this board? It wont post it wont do anything with these sticks in there no matter what, nor will this post on any other board I have. farewell sticks, I knew ye but for a short time. 1month and they both just die and wont post, and I wasnt actually overclocking these to extremes or even hard all I did was found it memtest stable at 2.4v the rated voltage and set it to that and now they are dead. heh, RMA time :toast:

I've been thinking about getting a peltier cooler if I could get my OC stable enough that it would be worth it.
Just want to contribute to the thread and share some open-window benching results:
Room Temp: 6C
CPU: E6600 L630A962
Vcore: 1.59V measured
Vdimm: 2.36V
Vmch: 1.9V
Vfsb: 1.5V

Super-pi 1M was ~11.96 but forgot to take a screen shot.
