someone knows CCB1E 0550VPMW in 165 ?
hey guys, got a question here. (Forum's finally back up, yay)
My core0 keeps failing at many different voltages.
Any way to strengthen it?
Cuz core1 is just fine with 1.4v for 2.7ghz, whereas core0 needs to go higher, and as of now cant do 2.75without getting even more voltage. Kindof annoying.
But, other than that, so far i had 2.6 at stock just fine, did prime it though.
Got 6hrs of priming at 2.7ghz 1.5v before i stopped it to go higher
did 2.75 at 1.525v (i think) last night, core 1 is still going after 7hrs, but core0 died after 3hrs
(0546)
This Opteron 170 0546XPMW is sweet
@2930mhz!!!
X1800XT stock heatsink @756/909
- undervolted ram from 2.097v to 2.034v (thanks SIOUX!)

2.6@1.35 - 2.7@1.45 - 2.8@1.55 - 2.9@1.65 and no temp issues. I'm not very comfortable running 1.65. :nono:

got OEM 170 from newegg, bought ~22. december
CBBWE 0530TPMW :)
will try it, just to get some better thermal compound, this cooler master that comes in Hyper 6+ package is good for venice@2.7, i'm not sure how good it will be for this beast
wow... lucky!!!Quote:

anyone have more info?
is 1.6volts considered "safe" for 24/7.
i do not think so. 1.6v is too high for 24/7 unless you are maybe using phase-change coolingQuote:

I've been running nearly 1.7v if not 1.7+v actual for quite some time and haven't seen any sign of weakness after some brutal priming, benching, and various other 24/7 use.
I'll be more comfortable with it in a few weeks once chilly gets my unit shipped off.
I ran 1.62V 24/7 on air on my X2 3800+ for a few months. No problems
What mb was that on?Quote:

Many other people have been receiving 0530TPMW from other retailers. They've still been clocking to 3Ghz I think someone just found them somewhere. I just received a Batch #47. :woot:Quote:

Damn it my temps SUCK with this opteron! I am getting 51C dual prime @ 2.8 GHz 1.5V. That is 3C higher than I was getting with 3800+ @ 2.7 GHz 1.62V!
Uhh except now you have 2 cores in the same area? Not really seeing what the issue is, you're running a fairly good OC and the chip screams - 51C.. big f-u-c-k-i-n deal - at the end of the day, it still runs right?Quote:

I have refund rma as I canceled the order but it shipped anyway:slapass: (if I open it I am sure they will not accept the refund rma)
I just cant decide if it was worth opening and testing(I bet it is 0546 xpmw...I never have good luck getting a sweet stepping like 0530) which means I will hit probably 2700ish:rolleyes: ...I bet on my setup if I were lucky to get 2800 I would need 1.52-1.55v..which seems like alot and temps would probably range in 53-55C area..not sure it is worth the hassle of having to then unload my opty 165@2610 Prime 95 15hrs small fft stable
well you could sell it...to me.Quote:
