I think that screenshot you got there wasn't stable, was it? Try better cooling and you'll be able to bench it.
Curious what volts you threw at it.
Good to see you finally achieved it though.

Well it was semi stable, but i was just trying to get to 1800, i had to use 1.75 v. I can only boot into windows at 1760, i had to use the MSI overclock dial, you set the memory speed in the bios, then it dont apply it until your safely into windows, which is a very cool feature. Can you boot 1800 into windows on your board ?
the dial lol, i forgot about that, was it stable tho? like 1m stable or?

I'm having an odd problem with this board, it wont pick up a Killer Xeno Pro card, the card works fine on P6T Deluxe V2 and Crosshair III. I've tried a variety of BIOSes including the latest 1.84, all the same. The closest match to the problem I could find was the same problem on an ASUS board, solved by a BIOS update.
Other than changing to the ASUS board and redoing the overclock does anyone have any ideas or maybe a link to the 1.84 BIOS?
Yeah, tried that, MSI emailed it to me, same result. Anyone else had this problem.
The PCI-E slots work fine with other cards, the cards (I tried 2 Xenos) work fine n other boards.
I changed the board for a Crosshair III as I can't afford to wait for them to get a Xeno and test/fix it. Seems like every system I do with 790FX gets changed like this one way or the other!
I have a hyper transport sync error problem??
Just moved from BIOS 1.4 to 1.7
I have a 4890
everything was fine, now im getting lockups every 10 mins screen freezes, not sure if its the board, some driver issue , definitly a buggy board and bios.
Guys I want to flash my BIOS back to a version earlier then 1.7 but I don't have a USB stick or a floppy drive.
Any ideas??
you can download a bootable cd image and use ultraiso to copy the required files.
unfortunately I can't link bootdisk.com's flashcd.iso, because they are charging 4$ for accessing the files
18b4 bios is good, seems like one of the best ones so far from what i have tested, my lockup problem has gone away, seems like a good bios.
Man been there done that, Bigfoot support said the board mfg. did not implement proper pci-e standards, or it would work! I put the xeno in my Gigabyte rig and it worked fine... All that work and worry, and my ping and game play was not changed and xfire and msn messenger did not work with xeno either.. RMA'd the xeno :(
I am running bios 1.8b4 and get the Hypertransport error too. I went back to 1.6 and it still crashes, but just doesn't show the error--so still no dice!
Is this a board issue or graphic drivers? Will try 9.12's today!
Not sure what causes that sync flood error, i think i read on the msi forum that its graphics related, but 184 bios is best one yet for me.
Well I hope the 9.12's fix it then!! :)
Ok my problem is fixed!! Was my memory!! RMA these puppies back to the egg!!!
Mine still does it but not as much as the 1.8b3 bios and it does it wit 3 diff sets of ram
i have 1.7 from the msi site and havent had the error, with a lot of crashes while benching with higher clocks/htt/volts, etc
Here is some reading on the hyper transport sync floode error.
