The two HD 6970 are in a semi-permanent water loop tied to a case, and an FX 8 core isn't going to do 5 GHz on the stock cooler for Vantage.
I have a high end air cooler on the way but it won't be here in 6 days. :confused:
I just picked up a gtx 780 HOF. Should be here in a week :P got it for 450 :D

Yes I currently have a few new toys. On the way is a 4930k, and the hoff, and a certain super member here who I will not name unless he wishes, hooked me up with a stout 4770k. GIGABYTE Retro OC Contest
I have 2 Gigabyte mb so I entered just for fun. Truly "retro" for me hahaha but I gained 4 comp. points! At first I ran 3dmark2001 with w7 then switched to xp and scored 12k more points. Wish I had a better cpu/mb combo but hey I still had fun and put everything I could into getting the best out of it. Tonight its "supposed" to get below freezing so I may take my benching outside and make a few runs.

Well it got close to 0 hahaha. I just stuck my rad in the window and the lowest the cpu got was 5 idling in bios. I used my G.skill ram this time, never benched with it before and I kinda liked it. Not the high MHz like my Blades can do but my Blades don't like cas4. I have a few more AMD cpus to bench them I'm going to Intel s775.

I cought wind that there is a way to do it. I never saw our was able to reproduce this condition with my experience with the chip, but I will say this. On my rive, overclocking was very difficult with the newer ivybridge bios, however with bios 4102 I was able to lock x34 or x36... I cant remember which.
Have a few more H55 and P55 boards on the way, but first board up wasn't too bad.

LN2 @ -40c to -70c any more and I would lose display and crash the driver.

All in all not to bad I think considering I don't have a way to adjust other key parameters the EVbot allows, namely the OCP levels. Also one thing to note is the Classified Voltage Tool 2.0 works, however I was wondering why the switching frequency intervals are in the wrong increments in comparison to the EVbot? Not sure if this makes a difference in how the card clocks.
Can't kill this card it's not mine has to go back home in one piece, so we will see how high it does in someone's hands who knows what they are doing and not a simple minded 2D bencher like me lol

Wondering why Charles and I have points turned off on ES submissions (looking at you Don_Dan;) ), when there are other people in the XOC leauge with points for current generation ES cpu's?
I turned off points because we're playing by the rules. If there are other people with scores made on current gen ES let me know, that one person with a lot of scores made on current gen ES has already moved back to Pro OC League, he was mistakenly removed from Pro OC League when he left his Pro OC Team. ;)
Edit: All scores set to points again. In the future you and Charles can discuss this issue with the HWBot staff. :)
