I bet you were running Small FFT's. That doesn't test RAM at all, so i'd agree RAM is most definetely the issue. What do you have? If it's TCCD it shouldn't be having an issue by now, unless you're running 2-2-2-6 in which case loosen to 2.5-3-3-6.
If anything else, try raising the vdimm one notch, then loosen timings, then finally if all else fails, just use a divider.

I'm with the OCZ rev2 at 2.5-3-3-6 TRC-9 TRFC-12 TRRD-3 TWR-3 TWRT-2
TRWT-3 TREF-1560 everything else on auto.

I'm going to put the ram on a divider to see if that helps, I just up the core that didn't help. So the ram theory might be right.

try tref at 4708=166 1.95us

I can test both small and large ffts no probs both cores but seems blend only allows one to fully be used..
now I have ran both of them single and both pass blend but together seems like other one takes over the usage?

I think this is the best thing--- I used it for both prime and super pi. Now look at the custom settings for prime cuz if you try to run the blend test it will try and use tooo much mem.

thats what I was thinking so only one would run at 100% and other is starved for ram eventhough I have 2 gigs

I only downloaded one copy so could it be that?

Will have to go to bed soon I fell asleep while it was rebooting can hardly see type properly, cream crackered I think.

When your running sp2004 are you setting the affinity and unchecking the box? Cuz that would do it! Why dont you setup prime95 like instructed in my link in my other post. For initial testing I dont use the priority 10 I just leave it at default. Try that out. Now when I run sp2004 I only instal one time I just click it twice to open 2 then set the affinity there cuz that works and its easier. GL

Your second core is unstable.

The problem is still there, I have tried opening it twice then setting affinity still the same, but here's the puzzel if I set core 0 going first then start core 1 core 1 fails, if I set core 1 running first then start core 0 then core 0 fails.
It is always the second instance that fails.
I have even tried on completely standard settings and it still fails, yet I can run 2 instances of prime 95 one on core 0, the other on core 1 this ran overclocked to 2.5GHz for over 10 hours without failure.

So it doesn't seem to be that one of my cores is unstable because the same happens to both.

Any idea's ?

The error message not convergent in SQR05 appears.

Hi Smids is the 250x10 a mistake in your sig or have you changed your overclock? I see that on OcUK forums you were at 260x10, just wondered if anything has made you change to 250x10.

I don't get it, the chip is supposed to do 2.2GHz so why would AMD replace it?

There is nothing wrong with the chip it does what it is supposed to if you overclock the warranty is VOID.
I lost a FX55 and stood the cost because I overclocked it why because it is wrong, people like you cost all of us because AMD have to cover the costs thanks to people like you.
Think about it you know it is wrong.

I totally agree RMA'ing a chip that works perfect is wrong. If you want a high OC and memory controller that works at high Mhz then spend the money and get a FX 57 or Dual core Opty.

Finally found the problem we were talking about different programmes I was using Super Pi which I thought was the SP2004 today I downloaded sp2004 and it works like a dream.

But is there a way to run 2 instances of Super Pi that's the one I'm having trouble with.

my vcore can come more down but the mobo is not for oc'ing so il have to wait for a beter wanne cant go high mobo holds me back :mad: .

use this time with a crappy motherboard to BURN BURN BURN in, and get the vcore right down. Then when you get yourself a decent one (dfi?) you can get oc'ing straight away.

will do think tis is a baby , wen the new mobo is here il put the wc on it :stick:

Ive been burning about a week str8 with 1.3 @ 2.4 dual core prime blend and she stil wont go a lick over 251

Well, actually I didn't do any kind of burn in... :D
I just set it, and OCed it to 2.6Ghz and 1.26v, and after 2 months (last week), I set it with my vapochill and did this. :)

I am decided to buy one x2 chip, but now i dont really know wich one.

I have just enough money for the x2 4400 Toledo, but as you are saying 4400 are the worst of all x2. soo...

What should i get? x2 3800?
