Where you get BIOS F8h?

I tried sli'ing the EVGA 470sc and the Giga, putting the evga in slot 1 because its a rear venting card which gave the soc plenty of room for air in slot 3 but the dont run well together.
The EVGA topped at 845-850mhz core in 06 but with a bios mod allowing for 1.215 vgpu, memory topped out at 893 :(.
The Soc 470 has topped out at around 870mhz core so far in 06 with stock bios, and 1000 on the memory hasnt shown any artifacts, a much better card .
Looks like evga isnt binning the gpu's, the default vgpu on the SC is 1.1v I believe, and the giga Soc is .975vgpu.
Ill try it with a higher oc on the cpu tonight.
05 score with the new 470
Nice score! I thought it was odd the score dropped that much from changing the bios.
Nice :D
Here's some 3dmark test with my 24/7 settings , nothing to extreme but doing well and giving out some Ati " cough cough " I mean some AMD shazam :D

Thanks guys!
Bad thing is some of the scores I submitted were run on f7e, now I gotta go back and retry a couple cards. My cf HD5870 scores were on f7e, hope they will go up.
Nice scores real 7
I noticed using the onboard power button to power down the pc when it freezes up due to overclocking seems to stop the boot loops. If I try higher multi than the cpu will allow, and get the 4E code, if I hold the power button to turn the pc off it doesnt go back to 4E code when you power back on. It goes to ccode 75 and allows you back into the bios. Something about hitting reset causes the long loops.
Yeah I've noticed that pressing RESET sometimes causes a double post, and often causes a failed overclock message. That never happens with using the power off button, unless CPU PLL override, is enabled, in which case, it can be a crapshoot whether it happens or not (it usually doesn't happen, though).
Using RESET with cpu pll override ALWAYS causes a failed overclock.
I don't even use the reset button anymore for now.
Put the 5870's back in and retrying some 3d with F8X bios.

Last couple of tests, this time on vista.
Thanks man, yeah score was a little better in vista. CPU score took a hit but 3d score went up.
Tried the 470's in sli again, they dont seem to scale as well as I hoped.
Loaded up Sp1 yesterday with f8x . . so far rock stable at LL1 1.416 vcore load and 1.452 idle @ 4.8 ran 9 hours prime v265 . . . tonight will start raising core and lowering timings more , since looks like my imc on my chip hates anything over 1600mhz
Prime Stable :D

Here what bios looks like:
Those two options works, but you need password (not very convenient) or dedicated power button (not all keyboards have it) to wake up/turn on the PC with keyboard.Code:
Power On By Keyboard
- Disabled Disables this function. (Default)
- Password Set a password with 1~5 characters to turn on the system.
- Keyboard 98 Press POWER button on the Windows 98keyboard to turn on the system.
ANY KEY option is there and works, but it is hidden and I have to make it selectable in every new bios release with hex editor.
BTW I use PS/2 keyboard. Less problems in bios/dos/etc. USB device (keyboard/mouse) wake up is a windows feature, no need for bios settings.
grats Tony  im passing linx with swap file enabled wich gives 20700+ problem size at 1,47 bios and had to notch vdimm 1,68 to 2133 7-10-7-27 1T /trfc 74 / IO = 2
but prime fails
SP1 seems hunger abouth mem now scores 20+ Gflops more than NON SP1
will try on 1869 7-9-7-24 at less vdimm and see how it goes
So far i tried all bioses and still F7e its a keeper for me
cheers
Sergio
Hi,
Just trying to get my SB setup sorted. Managed to navigate thru the "bios image not recognised" problems with @bios then got win7 (64) installed and have played around with 5GHz settings. I'm getting closer to testing my setup but I cannot get ET6 to run in my Win7 64bit. Tried various ET6 setups and enabled OS changes in bios but the prog just starts and then nothing. Is it simply because I'm using a 64 bit OS?
F8x bios installed and everything else basic. No apps installed
Please help as it's driving me nuts. Must have missed sumpfink!!
Sorry if this has been before but I did do a thread search and google search.
Thanks Sergio nice pass at linx . . you at a high bandwith with tight timings heavy cpu and ram load like prime are sure to find a hole especially with SP1
... i would say for benching use 2133 and for 24/7 use use 1600 6 8 6 18 as there is not any difference at all worth but a number shown in memory bench programs , check out this http://techreport.com/articles.x/20377 , even loose 1600 9 cl keeps up with 2133 . . . but none the less would of been nice to get my mushkins ridgeline working for some benches . . guess up for sale with those suckers :D
