yeah, so this bios is supporting Gulftown ES now?
Or which bios is do i need for the 3.06GHz Q3QR L3 12MB 6 cores / 12 threads ES?
Thanks

Uhm...This new BIOS (LX58DC30) wont work for me. :(
I've downloaded the File several times, have made a Binary Check of the downloaded
Files, have cleared CMOS several times - without luck.
I get this in Genie BIOS - Voltage Settings --> the Option: CPU PLL Voltage is corrupt.
Does somebody else have this also?

+1
I have the same problem...
its a beta so we hope for something better in the future!anyone tested stability with this?
New beta BIOS (01/06) is available: http://img.lanparty.tw/Upload/BIOS/CM/LX58D106_.zip
CPU PLL Voltage is still broken. I did not see any difference between this and the 12/30 one. As 12/30 BIOS has been removed I wouldn't flash this one.
tried previous beta bios file then after reflashed back to 11/05/09 bios
i got the debug led error 8.8., cleared CMOS, removed batt, reinstalled CPU, etc, but nothing seem to help, i had to order a new bios chip from ebay.
got an EON chip to replace the SST on the board, the new bios chip is working very good.
this time post code 8.8. error happened after reflashing from 6/16/09 to 11/05/09 and it's permanently stuck at 8.8. at every starting.
could be my board bios chip just went bad i used to have post error 8.8. quite a few times in various bios's before, but a cleared CMOS had fixed the problems.
My C0 loves voltage :p:

vCore - 1.475
VTT - 1.52 Nominal Frequency
CPU PLL - 1.85
Took that to get it prime stable 12GB.
I've dowloaded the 11/05 BIOS, and I really dont know if it is a Bios issue or what, but now when I shut down the computer from windows, sometimes it still being on, but windows get closed. Is like an stand by or something like that.
Maybe is a hardware problem, but I think it started when I flashed the Bios.
I would like to know your opinions before flashing it again and leave the 7/12 Bios.
Yeahp but what I dont like is the fact that you dont have the same motherboard as I so... I still being unable to find its cause :P
Edit:
I have just read that may be the problems is because of a incompatiblity between OS and Motherboard Drivers (I have Windows 7 Professional and Dfi Ut X58).
Yesterday I installed for the first time the drivers of my board, because the ones on the DVD that came with the board and the availables on DFI site wasnt compatible with W7, although is supposed that windows already has it installed I though that someday DFI will give a driver for it.
And finally that has happened, and I installed it and maybe thats the problem until windows give us an update or something like that in order to have a full compatible system.
I don't think it is driver issues (alone).
I am using t3eh8@bios 1105 + win7 ult 64-bit.
1. Intel Chipset Utility (from Intel site) is not necessary.
It does not install anything, which indicates that win7 already has everything.
2. Intel Matrix Storage (from Intel site) is not necessary.
I use it to avoid win7 treat all AHCI HDs as "removable". I had no problem without it either.
(My settings: ICH as AHCI, JMicron as IDE)
3. NIC driver (from DFI site) works properly.
4. I am not using any other intergrated devices.
I have no problem on 11/05 bios.
Both the new bioses removed PLL voltage. The first one replaced it with "oot Order" and this one is just all messed up. I'd like a new bios because my board undervolts DRAM about .04v and overvolts VTT by a good bit too. Wonder if this happen to a lot of people?
And I never knew you had to install drivers in Win 7. Besides maybe for software RAID... I have hardware RAID, just installed ICH10R drivers during install and in Windows I just install my sound card and video drivers. No chipset drivers necessary it seems, even LAN works out of the box.
At the begining I wasn't able to instal the inf drivers from the dvd that comes with the board when you buy it, because it wasn't compatible with my OS. But now the ones on the DFI site ara compatible with and well, my bad, but I believed that if there are INF DRIVERS COMPATIBLE WITH W7 is because maybe they are necessary necessary to improve or at least resolve issues or something like that-
And... I have installed the INF driver from DFI site.
But well, the thing now is that it doesn't appear on the "unistall/install" sofware from control panel. So... what can I do to take it out without format or something related??
Thanks!
Edit: This is the one I have installed:
Intel INF Utility
Motherboard Revision 9.1.1.1014
Description Intel Chipset Driver for Windows XP, Vista, Windows7 32/64 bits
File Intel_inf_win7.zip
Size 4.561 KB
As you can see it says WINDOWS 7 32/64BITS.
Might interest some here - http://www.xspc.biz/dfiutx58.php
Full cover block now available from XSPC. Looking at changing my board and my mate has 1 of these handy so might have a go...

I believe you want EIST DISABLED, CxE ENABLED, PPM ENABLED, TURBO ENABLED and in windows you want to set the power scheme to performance. Setting the power scheme is important, also the correct bios is just as important.
NO.
EIST MUST be ENABLED for MB to reach 21x multi. CxE DISABLED, or you are going to need to give your CPU a nice vCore boost. PPM ENABLED, Turbo ENABLED.
Also you must ENABLE Set VR Current Limit Max, and DISABLE Thermal Management Control
EDIT: BTW, it would be smart to set Shutdown Temperature to 100 under PC Health Status, cause setting all those above, there is nothing to prevent you CPU from burning up.
Well I have that now on Disable. I will see what happen from now on.
Sorry for my really noob question, but I couldnt fin it on internet, what is iirc? sorry :p
lol I can't get used to that kind of abreaviations, sorry.
