The tech at Intel said to definitely use the 6/2008 release (actual driver date range from 09/2008 to 02/2008 depending on the component in System Devices in the device manager).
*** Can anybody do this quick test? I'd really like to know if I have a defective motherboard (only 2 days left for return!) or if I found a bug:
Click on System Devices in device Manager, Intel ICH9 Family SMBus Controller - 2930, properties---> then in the General Tab, under Device Status, what does it say? And if you go in the next Driver tab, and click on Driver Details, what happens?
Because, if I just click on properties and go to the Driver tab, like the others here have reported, it shows the correct driver date and the "Intel" name. The bug is *only* when clicking on Driver Details and under Device Status of the first General tab...weird.
Thanks a lot in advance!!
