Wow - I've always chosen newEgg because they had fair prices.

I can't believe they are marking the e6300 & e6400 up THAT high. What a disappointment.

They can say goodbye to me buying my CPU and every other component I need for my new box from them. Hope the extra $100 bucks was worth it, Egg.

Customers may hate this pricing model, and it may alienate some people from buying the Conroes from them, but how many of you will refuse to ever buy from Newegg again now? Not many, I'd suspect. So in effect, Newegg gets to make a HUGE profit margin on a few chips, all while not really losing any customers.

I'd say it's a pretty good idea, actually, and I'd be willing to bet that 99% of the population would do the exact same thing, if they could ;)

well, i decided i want my pc ready tonite and the local microcenter has the e6600 (oem in stock). i will be lapping my cpu anyway so warranty is not an issue. i cant cancel my clubit order which is shipping today. i WILL have an extra E6600 if anybody is interested...

yes but if life is miserable for newegg csr's... then the "higher ups" WILL hear about it. In fact I think that if enuff people falme the csr's we might see a price drop TODAY!

Well I do realize Newegg probably will sell those cpus. However they are taking advantage of their popularity and that's quite a dissapointment to enthusiast community. I for one wont get sucker in like that but there are those who will; it's a shame that's all.
