Killer job yesterday guys. Sorry to say I had a rig go down during the night. I did get it back up though. Hope it does not hurt too much.

great work Xtremesystems
hehehehe
Wow. Big #. Smokin.
I am at a lose for words. Let's drink a cold one. :toast2:
Great job, everyone. :toast:
Words dont describe:clap:
Let me look at that number again and pinch myself so I know it's real..
Hell of a day guys and ladies..
I keep saying it, you guys hear it but many don't.
There are at least 50,000 unique IP's that access XS every week.
That's 50,000 different people.
Think on the machines the "average"guy has here.
Call it a Q6600 ok? Fair guess, maybe on the low side.
That one machine will do 15,000 WCG PPD
Take that machine times 50,000 and your at 600 MILLION WCG PPD.
100 million is so doable it's cake IF only the members and guests here participate.
One machine won't kill your electric bill or heat your house like a sauna.
Maybe I have to go door to door and sell this in person.
In the meantime this small group as compared to the size of Team 2ch and Easynews is kicking ass and taking names.
My thanks to every one of you.
 Damn I wasnt expecting that much today either, way to go team...
Quick charting of the past 60 days and some conservative estimates of what to expect the next few days
I'll post a new one each day

Arriba Arriba everybody ..... Thats amazing , lets keep those numbers coming team. Congratz everyone

:YIPPIE::YIPPIE::YIPPIE::YIPPIE::YIPPIE::YIPPIE:
I... I just don't know what to say....
:eek2:
wow.
The sun has set and I'm gonna OC a bit higher during the nights. Keep it coming people!
Wow! Grats guys! Does that mean 19mil tomorrow!
Good work here team! Let's shoot for the 20 tomorrow!
Ill be adding another Quad core on Wednesday, every little bit helps. So far I'm pushing 40k daily on my i7 and an old P4. Also trying to get some guess at work to join and crunch with there systems when they can.
H. O. L. Y. C. R. A. P.
That... just wow. Nice guys.
Now we have 4 days left to get to 100 Mill, I know we can do this... This just shows how much power we have, let's find the rest of it and put it up for XS WCG!
WE. GOT. THIS. LETS DO IT!
To hit 20 million we will need to average around 715,000 BOINC points every six hours. Not impossible with this team. But it won't be easy either. Feel free to prove me wrong. In fact, I want you to prove me wrong.:D
45.39% of team members returned results. That's terrific. Now, if we could get 50% participation, that would be truly awesome.
Yikes! 17,275,363! Awesome!
Looking at 2ch's output today... They were up by a million more than usual. Either they're reacting, or there was a general, overall, point surge. Either way, let's keep the heat on.
Onward and Upward!
Damn, that's just awesome, 17 million.... holy crap =o
Anyway my main rig is back in action but currently at stock clocks, I'll put it back to 3.8 or higher tonight, had more heat problems (PC room was turning into a sauna & we both can't handle heat..)
Should have the last parts required to setup my sossa rig tomorrow and then I have to figure out which OS to install on it for it to work as a fileserver too....... *scratches head*
Throwing an Althon II X4 630 at stock (undervolted, getting hot around here lately so trying to keep power draw down with 2 AC units going) running at any 15 minute idle period, so should be seeing a few hundred/thousand (depending on wcg/boinc) points out of it a day. Every little bit guys, keep adding it up!
i wonder if there's someone in 2ch having a WTF moment....
http://blogs.poz.com/paul/wtf.jpg
Oh may, 17,25M. Great feeling to know that my humble 45k/day contributes a bit in overall result
This is really pretty amazing...
I'm glad to be a part of it with my humble 6 cores. (maybe 8 tomorrow... waiting on memory)
If due to our efforts, some new understanding of one the problems being worked is discovered, I will be very proud.
lets go on guys :D
for a team that has always had a lot of trouble beating Easynews... it's worth pointing out that we are putting out so many points that easynews + decrypthon together still can't come close to touching us
nice work guys, that's some crazy progress in a short period of time.
I literally and loudly cried out "OH FUUUUUU**!" hehe gratz to us
I had to sleep with 3 PCs running in my room since May 1st,wish it was winter.
Think we could sell this to the slimming/sauna brigade?? :D
Cant wait to see what todays results are.
Yesterdays were
I'll second this... Last week, we had a couple nights that dipped into the low 50's and, with all these computers running all over the house, the temperature didn't drop below 72F. Today's high was 82F outside and it would have been considerably hotter inside had I not kicked on the air conditioner.
I guess I'll be seeing you in Vegas again next year, then :)
What about 1st week of febuary. In quebec normally we have the lowest temp in febuary with average at around -10c, min is -5c and max is around -30c.
Another fantastic day.:)

Seems like today was a 'short day'....everybody but MakeCuresHappen had a noticeable dip. We're still going strong :D
Congratulations team on another great day!
I got a few finished WU stored up it seems this morning
Great job
Hopefully we can see 18 tomorrow :)
18 would be great, but I am really wanting to see that big 20
44.36% of users returned results. Let's get that number up to 50%.:)
Even though today's numbers are lower. We have decreased the daily gap from Team 2ch 4,318,935 to 3,398,318. We have gained another million on them today! :yepp::):yepp::):yepp:
Today was less than 24 hours worth of work on the WCG servers....basically everyone dipped today. We did less than others ;)
Think of Xtreme systems as a car on the highway, and team 2ch is a van filled with Japanese people. We are traveling at 60mph, 2ch is traveling at 90mph and pulling away.
And we recently discovered NOS button on our dash and have pushing it, and are doing 65...70...75...80...85...
I think I need to get my AC up, two heat-induced crashes in as many days.
I would rather use a old porsche 911 930for the comparaison. We were going slow, very slow, the turbo pressure was slowly building up. Turbo lag was really taking its time and was there to stay for quite a while. But then, by the morning of may 1st, we finally found all the guts necessarily to push the pedal to the floor and say SOD OFF TURBO LAG I WANT TO GO FAST NOW SO GTFO.So in a split second we went from 60mph to 85mph but then we saw a cop so we backed up a bit. When the road will be clear, we will be able to finally stretch our leg
Lets just hope we dont finish our stretch like all the other porsche owner with the backend hugging very tightly a tree because of oversteer caused by the massive lag of those good old porsche 930.
Nope, it means that everybody had a lower scoring day, not from lack of work but from lack of validations. This just happens sometimes, it's no big deal.
Ooh, that's cause for optimism then cos I had my best ever day :D
I'm just a lil mini......swimming against the tide of relentless big guns.
Crazy English just don't know when to quit :D
I currently have 400 WU's pending validation .... that is roughly 140000 WCG points worth...
I think this may partly be caused by people maxing out by downloading 10 days worth of work on slower machines...
Also when I investigate, a large proportion of my pending WU's are being held up by "no reply". In other words the WU has been sent out for processing but have never been returned or cancelled by the user. The machines in question have simply dissappeared off the grid.
I hope things can get sorted out with problems like these as I have had many WU's so far that have gone past their sell by date for the above reasons...
I think were getting so close to easy news on the highway we are starting to draft off of them
Nice! :D Thia made me LOL. passing them is going to feel SO good....
A bit more of a geeky analogy... I keep thinking of XS as the Enterprise trying to catch some incredibly fast ship, and Scotty going, " Dilithium chambers at maximum, I'm giving her all she's got capn'" and Kirk (aka DAVE ;) ) going, "All she's got isn't good enough, you've got to do better!" LOL...
ok I am offically a geek..
Biker,
Yeah unfortunately "no reply" and late work units are one of the hazards of DC. I have 450+ WU in PV jail as well. The only consolation is your PV queue shouldn't show any WU's older than about 2 weeks at any given time since WU's are re-issued after 10 days. So after you've crunched for a few weeks everything should even out and your PV's shouldn't grow any larger.
There's a few things you can do:
-run a short work queue, like 1 day, so your machines qualify as "fast and reliable" and will receive make-up and repair WU which are validated upon return.
-run a longer queue so your wingmans result is returned before yours but all this does is push your PV queue onto someone elses account.
-run a single validation project with no quorum. You'll still have a couple pages of "inconclusive" because WCG does random chacks on your work but it'll be far less WU's tied up and waiting around.
I knew I wasn't alone :)
Good tips.... thanks
Just realized that I've been crunching with 4 threads only on my I7 920 @ 4Ghz...up and running at 8 now!
At the end of this week of crunching, I need to reformat my main machine. Something isn't playing nicely and is causing sporadic restarts. Even at stock settings. Is there a way to cleanly end a crunch session without sending points into limbo?
Not really, but you can reduce the loss by reducing the amount of work being cached and telling it to not get any new work so it matches the time of the planned hw / sw changes and then just submit the last few ones you have finished.
You can copy the boinc work folder to a backup and then copy it back after a fresh OS install.
Works fine for me :)
Note: this is not the boinc folder in program files... it is the other one (wherever you placed it or default is in documents and settings / application data) ;)
And the numbers for tonight are... :wasntme::wasntme::wasntme:
XtremeSystems 17,762,517
cant believe i am the first to post it
FIXED! Movieman!
Nice day guys!
Lets move into the eightteens tomorrow!
Today we were app 2.7million WCG points off of team 2ch..
It's doable guys if we want it.
Let's bump this up and get over the 20million mark and fast.
Time is flying by us.
Go hit up anyone you know and "Make them an offer they can't refuse"..:wasntme:
Great Day:up: Lets see atleast 18 tomorrow
Got the laptop fans cleaned out and running full load now and
:idea:Overclocking 1090T tonight I hope the wee little motherboard can handle it.
3am smap from work......how we doing?
18 is definitely in the cards for tomorrow I feel it :clap::clap:
Looking good! ;)
Maybe another email blast to get some more folks onboard is due?
The question is how to do it nicely so they don't feel pressured..
People can be funny and I want them to come because they want to..
The only people I teased or harrassed were people I knew here or knew enough of their personalities that they would know I wasn't pushing..;)
