For sure in single card the performance gap is much smaller than in dual card. Though I suspect that running 270 1:1 in SLI would have given me a bit more in gt1 and gt2.

@gocchin....I hate it when they(ups) pull that stuff.

BTW, Awesome Scores by Shamino. He currently has top scores on 2K5 AND 2K3 (just checked futuremark's hall of fame)..... What about 2K1?? what's your score?

That cpu was capable of MUCH MUCH higher that 3.4 benchable. Here's a taste of what it could do on a STOCK MACH2 before I sent it to OPB:

I could run it @ 3.3G 1.488Vcore with the mach2 and OPB ran it @ 3.5G 1.5Vcore daily. The WR of 3.6G was done with only 1.65Vcore and a lot of room to spare ;)

Hehehe...you really think it makes that much of a difference? Here's a comparison I did of one of my 4600+'s running PCMark04 vs. Sampsa's 4800+.
My scores are on the top. Discount the video scores since I was running a 6600GT 128mb and Sampsa was using an x850xtpe 256mb. My 4600+ was clocked @ 3190Mhz vs. Sampsa's 3232Mhz. (Also, the fix for the grammer check bug wasn't known at the time - the only person that had passed the complete test was Sampsa)

BTW, the cpu I showed a pic of in the prior post was OPB's PCMark04 10k Cpu. Break that record and then we'll talk ;)

512k chips are week, week, week in 3dmarks and pcmark2004 is so 2 years ago why would anyone run it now with real chips. :D

K...I know of someone with one of my 4600+'s and he benches 3dMark....I'll get some results so we can settle this once and for all ;)

Ok, I missed that.

But anyways, PCmark2004 top score by OPB was running at 3.4
That lead me to beleive that it wasn't stable at faster speeds...

Who knows, maybe he didn't want to try it, but I don't see the reason.

Sorry you are wrong about that - I have run both 4800 and 4600 back to back on identical systems and the difference is virtually nothing clock for clock

Sweet ass chip. What base temps? What was highest 3d? This chip can pi a little faster than it can 3d. That speed right there would be all you would need for 3d to usher in the next era ;).

and IHS still on. I think this cpu will bench 05' at 3950+. It shows no signs of slowing yet.
