So any speculation on when the 975 boards will hit the market mainstream?
Or anyone know where to get any of the 955es chips?
Also, why no benches with any phase cooling?
Really want one of these ASUS boards
Stuck at 990FSB on P5ND2-SLI with my Presler 950 (no HT) - if I could get 300FSB I would do a wee dance
Wish they would sort out the SLI licensing tho...
what cooling you using on that 950?Quote:

With Tcase around 36c, the CPU is running around 50c load at 3.8ghz 900FSB - my day to day OC - thats an open case btw, I am scared to close it with the volt modded GTs and this CPU!
P5ND2s still have issues at >240FSB right?
Is the P5WDG2-WS for sale yet? I've seen the P5WD2-E and the Gigabyte board FS already.
Try burning it in for a couple or more nights to see how well it responds to it. This is kind of interesting since we know very little about the new Intel 65nm process. Use Toast burn-in or prime95 and starve it for voltage. I prefer toast cause its easy to see any progress.
So does anyone know how the lower models like the 920 or 930 clock? I'm looking to get a presler but with the high prices on 975 boards and the fact that I need DDR2 I won't be able to afford a high multi chip. Will a 930 under a -70c dice tube base at load get me going high enough to do some damage or should I stick with AMD?
Are the 930's out yet?
I'm in the same boat man, actually eerily so....I killed my Venice today by crushing the SMDs with a mousepot. I want my next setup to be Intel, I'm bored with AMD, and 4.5+GHz on air sounds enticing. I'd definitely be getting a 930. I'm trying to narrow down the motherboard now.Quote:

Apparently Jan 14th or thereabouts is when we will see stock of the 9xx processors in the channel.
As for 975x boards, I cannot find any in the UK. I could probably get an Intel "Bad Axe" but I want more overclocking features.....
Hm I believe I'll have to order from UK or something in order to get the price down a bit, we are so damn stupid in Sweden. We add 25% to everything and then the stores need to add a bit more to get any money when they sell the productr :(
You can buy them at atacom.com

VR-Zone has a review of P5WD2-E
@afireinside - all the 65nm chips should have better overclockability - but its just luck if you get a good 930 - the 960 should be the chip to go for overclocking IMO as it is the fastest speed bin.
@vapb400 - P5ND2 has issues above 240FSB with 200FSB processor, but the 3.46EE and 3.73EE I had worked perfectly at 1066FSB (albeit they are single core)
I will probably go for 930 and some Asus 975X chipset motherboard then :D
right now i keep staring at 955XE results just waiting. waiting. and anticipating the arrival of my soon-to-be 955XE **drool**
what's the max FSB on the board?
according to vrzone, itll go up to 450. up to 2.4 VDimm... Only 1.7 on VCore, although, thats higher than most people will need.Quote:

They just used a thermalright XP90C heatsink. OMG I AM SO GETTING THIS BOARD! and a 955 if they really are multi unlocked, if not, prolly a 950.
