hmmmm nah, all bios files seem to have this
1300 np
1300 pro
1600 pro
and the 1300s and some 1600s seem to be able to get above 630core.. but maybe this is the lock and its ignored on some cards in the driver or maybe set to disabled in another part of the bios?
man this bios stuff is annoying, if you dont have the right tools you cant do anything at all... :(

If you compare the top 2 2K1 scores for this class.....my nature score is really lagging. Only differences are; Xp vs 2000, and ram @ 2-2-2-5 vs a little faster but 2.5-3-3-7. (I'm thinking it's the ram more than OS).
Try it also, I'm sure you can get about +10...+15 fps increase.

Guys, I got your PM's about bios modifications... Sorry, but there is no way to get worked moded bios for X1300/X1600 cards for now. These BIOS images has 128-bit signature (at adress 0261h...0270h). If you change some bytes in bios - you also need to correct signature, but I don't know how to do that.
Catalyst driver checking this bios-sig when windows loads and if sig is incorrect - Catalyst simply don't start :( We just need "patched" Catalyst (with disabled bios-signature check) to use modded bios images.

Thanks for x1300 non-pro BIOS. It works fine with X1300 pro, but only in unmodified state. I tried to change clocks and get the same results - catalyst driver don't start...

do older than 5.13 drivers work with the 1000 series?
maybe they dont have the signature check enabled?
or maybe only the ccc version of the 5.13 has the signature check enabled?

even first R9000 was not moddable via bios or any oc tool, but later special drivers like Omega come out and then you was able to oc cards :(
I checked various versions of catalyst drivers for Windows 2k/XP (x32) with modded BIOS'es...
v5.8 & earlier versions: no support for RV515
v5.9-v5.10: no info about RV515 in .inf-files, but drivers can work with RV515 (just unpack and copy driver files manually over any previously installed version). No BIOS-sig check in this versions, so modded BIOS'es works!.

what is the maximum resistance of the variable resistors that you guys are using?
I would like to say you would be okay with a 5K ohm pot.........however, every card is different. You should really take readings of stock Vgpu and resistance across pins 5 to 7 on the RT9323A chip closest to the VGA connection side.Quote:

Where are you reading the Vcore from? I would think you would need to read it at one of the two caps above and to the left of the gpu (w/ vga connector to the left).
Also, do you have the specs for the 7580 chip?
i measure the 2 cap on the right both were 2,9v similar value to the 2nd pin from coil
the 3 cap on the left were 1,45v similar to the 1st pin from coil.
he i dont hv any datasheet for 7580 :D i just look at the board and gues the FB pin :D
i think the pin3 were for the mem...but wht the core could reach higher clock?the mem stay the same 545
huf i just decrease the resistance and it works :banana: but when i try it i wanst install the hsf n luckly i didnt kill the boards :toast: i just so stress out until i forget to put the hsf

i give the board 1,5v vcore and vdimm 1,9 all still on stock cooling,ill give em wb tonight :cool:
btw i was wrong though,it was not on pin3 but on pin 6 :D so anybody would like to try it just give 5K trimmer and your board are ready to go

I tried Riva, AtiTool, AtiTray ... mems are blocked.

705/292 on stock voltage.
Hynix 2,5 ns bad clocks...
Might be low voltage or timings. I've had hynix 2.5ns ddr2 to 500+Mhz on two X1300pro cards.
