FX-57 @ +3,8 GHz and two of these should be 18k in 3DMark05.
Are you allowed to post results today or do we have to wait some days ?
Damn, nvidia keeps on kicking ATi where it hurts the most. This card sure is only meant for one thing, to give them [nv] the right to title themself the maker of the fastest card. I don't think they will make much money on this card.Quote:

Let's just say I have "feeling" we are going to see some great results soon! :woot:
Remember that x1800 Xfire results HAVE YET to appear as the X1800 does not exist, so after the Ultra GTX is released and SLI results shown, ATI'll have time to tweak 1800 Xfire ... and ofcourse, Macci just might have something to do with it yet again...cant confirm that though.Quote:

All we know now is that Nvidia is kicking ATI in every segment, whether ATI will just walk away with a sore on its head or whether it'll respond with something faster (either ATI or AIBs) has yet to be seen. (we wont start seeing quantities until 21st of Nov  )

Can't wait to see those screens :) Help us out Sampsa
thats why I just got a X1800XL for 340.00 shipped to me.
I couldn't see myself paying 650-850 for a X1800XT or GTX-512
Iam going to be putting that money toward a phase change.
atleast my waterblock will fit on a GTX-512 when the price drops into the 350-400 range in 6 months, I hope
I still can't figure out how/why Mwave has these cards for sale and nobody else. Are they breaking an agreement with nVidia or not? And if so, why has nobody done anything about it?
....with that being said, I am dangerously close to ordering a couple.
Speak of the devil - they're GONE :eek:Quote:

not surprising to see them go, NDA ends monday as many have said before.Quote:

ocz 520w sli or pc & power 510w sli are enough
AAC, so a 480 is fine for single card?
I remember asking you last night, but you apparently thought I meant SLi.. I'm not a bencher, so SLi is overkill to me.
Unfortunately, I have a 430watt Antec Truepower II. I'd probably give it a test run, if it works then I'll just get a new psu next month anyway...
a good quality 500-550W PSU should be enough(mabye not if you're using in combination with a smithfield processor though), with the revisied manufacturing process nvidia has managed to keep core power consumption close to what the 7800GTX had, id agree that a 600+ W PSU would be required for serious overclocking with SLI however.Quote:

The side of the box says "Note: For 2 GeForce 7800GTX-based graphics card running in NVIDIA SLI configuration, a minimum 550W (with 12V current rating of 34A) is recommended."
I would consider a 550 as min watt for these cards. (Maybe a PC Power 510 or the mentioned 520 OCZ but you will not have much headroom.) These cards draw tons of power. The review system I am building was shutting off with a 480 NEO that ran 2 OC'd 256MB cards fine. (FX57 OC'd to 3Ghz and 2GB of RAM, Raid Raptors and all the normal stuff.) I just installed an Enermax 620 Liberty.....I am burning in but so far no issues. (The cards are not shipped maxed out BTW. The mem looks to be real good.) Next will be watercooling. ;)
(BTW For those with the DFI SLI-DR be in SLI be ready for one card to run much hotter than the other and the fan gets loud. Of course with watercooling it will not matter.)
Power consumption on the core might not have gone up much but you are talking about twice the ram run much faster....they like the juice.
81.89 WHQL driver, anyone? Supports the 512 MB cards:

Very nice...I'd say it's save to say that we can expect these very soon :)Quote:

It is probably getting loaded up a bit. It is the NDA driver, and a number of the normal sites refuse to post it.
This one is faster:

yeh, i can see guru3d refused to. It's a bit of a shame.
I think that a PCP&C SLI 510 will have absolutely no problem with these cards overclocked and with a heavily OC'ed CPU. Generally, other companies overrate their PSUs...the PCP&C could be rated on a comparative scale to be more like a 650W unit.
