Thanks ocz for the release info. I was going to buy another brand 2gb kit but it is nice to see you guys here and so available. So I bought this kit. Now I just have to wait for my motherboard to get here to the states from europe.
I'm still happy with my old OCZ BH-5. :DQuote:

Any UK resellers?Quote:

Ah yes that would have been me :). We are very happy with the latest batch of BE-5 that Infineon has released lately. We have been reproducing numbers like the ones posted here for a couple weeks now. :) Only reason why havent made such a fuss about it is that the yeilds at this speed are unstable. We've seen em come and go, and I dont think they will hold for too long at the 250 mark. But hey, maybe Infineon changed something on the dies, but I say for sure either way. :)Quote:

I must say tho... 282 is quite impressive. Most of the BE-5 or any 2GB packs Ive seen do around 260-275 max. 282 is most definatly a new record I bet.
Any word when newegg will stock these?
Sentential, so you're saying that these are either cherries, a great new die revision, or something else entirely....how about CE-6? ;)
Most likely based on the numbers we have, it is probably *highly* binned chips of either CE-5 or BE-5.Quote:

Well I shouldnt say that it isnt a new chip because I cannot prove such. Plus there *are* some interesting new 64x8 chips going on the market that we are investigating. :)
I wouldnt be so harsh now, your statement is not entirely fair. We have been using production level chips similar to these for a very long time now :)Quote:

We appreciate Senential's interest and "educated" guesswork here. Unfortunately he has no direct knowledge of OCZ products and would not have the answers to such questions. He is a Mushkin rep as you can tell by the banner as in his sig. ;)Quote:

Even if yours isn't CE-6...it certainly COULD be as CE-6 can do these numbers and isn't very expensive.
EDIT: and if CE-6 can do it for cheap, competitors can use it and get similar performance numbers at similar price, even if they have to spend more money than you binning.
I have to say SOMETHING, now don't I? hehe :slap:Quote:

We know what to think now ;)
Remember how hard you were saying that VX has nothing whatsoever to do with Winbond? Though if you're silent, you can keep us guessing.
I'm only speculating at this point of course, I'm not in the market for actual memory so I couldn't give a rat's ass whichever way...
we never said they were not winbond....we just needed to grab a ton of IC's so needed a weeks break or so over everyone else.
Let's move on from the IC guessing game and see some more screen shots ! lol
I can quote Andy ;)Quote:

Im thinking theyre Infineon chips too, though which ones who knows. Bottom line is if they do the rated OCZ specs then who cares right. But if I had to bet Id say CE-6
I read on the INQ that Infineon has upgraded their fabs to 60nm.
