Yeah finally! I'll put the 6800 in tonight maybe. Man I did a burnin last night and it seemed to make a pretty big dif cuz I am now priming at 2.64ghz at 1.38v. Yesterday I had to have over 1.4v to get stable at 2.60ghz. Hmmm

I am just trying to keep everyone updated on the progress of this chip. If anyone else has one thats on air I wish they would post so we could compair..

Thanks for the postings about the progress NJ, it's surely appreciated.

I was just hoping these could hit 2.7 on high-end air or water avg, or at least 3.0ghz or so on phase, and they seem like they will do that. Anyone with these chips posting their progress is surely appreciated, but thanks again NJ for manning the front line. :D

Now I know i'm grabbing one of these fo sho' as soon as I save my pennies. ;)

Well I think I will hit the 2.8-2.9 mark no prob I was there last nigh before any type of burn-in. Right now I am at 2.65 at 1.38v so its getting better!

NW, W, SW... where ever you wantto call it..... all I know is that they had sitting there waitig for me, a week-27 AW processor!!! <big grin>

In all my excitement, I forgot 2 things though:
1.) WinXP Home Edition DOES take advantage and recognize the dual-core, right?
2.) one of my frickin' VX sticks is FUBAR'ed, so I'm limping around right now with a single stick in. I should still be able to O/C the heck out of the CPU though (just keep the single stick divided to stay around 200MHz). What's the deal with OCZ anyways, I've been waiting like 4 days to get a f'ing RMA number. They've had all my info and i filled out their form several days ago.

Anyhow, I digress...

I only ran 1 mod ver. and 1 regular ver. So you still want me to run 2 mod ver?

You posted the same time as I did lol.

I get about 6m28 & 6m29 for the 8M standard superpi (240x11 with a 9/10 divider). Running a single instance I get 6m02.

XP-90c cooled 4400 - however my memory lets me down. I'm interested in how much difference there is between the two as it seems that a 3800 is pretty good value for money :D

Oi! :slapass: :D Good work - shows the effect of timings and memory speed. Perhaps the 4400 isn't the X2's sweet spot after all!

You are very right about mem timings I am running at 2-2-2-5 @243 so I am not stressin my ram to much. But this Mushkin is really good! What ram do you have?

Just some old stuff - 2x512Mb OCZ PC3500 plus some borrowed 2x512Mb XMS3500 BH-5. Mainly for BF2 but I'm considered 2x1Gb to get back to 1T and decent timings.

Oh I didnt realize you were running 2gig of ram at 2T. Then those times arent bad at all!

Ok, here is a little more progress. 2.7ghz at 1.42v while prime is running so temps are under load.

Very nice. Have you noticed a potential duff core as yet, one which persistently fails prime first or are they pretty much equal?

Ya know its funny you say that cuz I have been watching for that. Well sometimes core 1 will fail then core 2 so it looks like they are pretty equal. But I have def been watching for this..

I have a duff Core 1, other say they have a duff Core 0. When I say duff, I mean it. 1.39v keeps core0 stable @ 2.6ghz but core 1 require 1.48v to be stable at the same ghz. Oh well, I'm just another statistic. Nice to hear your cores sound pretty equal.

I was @ Local Computer store today: Anitec and they had X2 3800+ in stock for $469 CAD + tax.. here is the stepping CDBHE 0527TPBW.

Get it in and see what it'll do. Robert over at ocforums got CDBHE 0527TPAW pretty close just the A & B but the only way to tell how it does is run it:) Good Luck. Please post your results so we can all compare.
