2.522 @ 1.93 vcore is rock solid prime 95 guess its time to bump multi back up to 13.5 woohoo 200x13 booted to windows not prime95 stable thinkin maybe at the limits of 2 sticks of ram.
saw other doods with good cooling going for 1.9vcores so i figured what the heck :)
havent hit a speed that wouldnt boot yet! sheesh!
I'm writing an abstract concerning the validity of Burn-in i read a technical article which stated Burn-in has no benefits for the processors performance? I know there are those who will disagree, but it sort of made sense. Once current begins to flow through an electrical device, it's life is finite. Increasing that current in an initial Burn-in merely places undue stress upon that device, shortenting it's life further. This is why as overclockers we are always trying to acheive maximum clock speed, with minimum voltage.Quote:

The reason I'm chosing to write an essay about this, is because I beleive there may in fact be molecular changes which take place along the processor's gates, during a Burn-in. These molecular changes may "condition" the lines along which the voltage travels, to be less resistive. Look for it at Madshrimps next week!
burning -in is usually a process of stablity testing for me
if it can run prime 95 for three hours straight and then seti in the back ground continiosly for a week, and then run 3d mark and prime again for a few hours without rebooting inbetween and runs just fine while it's running seti I know it's solid.
if I can run prime for one day straight and then run anouther 24 hours of 3d mark without crashes or rebooting inbetween I know it's bedrock solid

I'm not claiming to know what occurs on the atomic level, although I tried to look at "voltage" burn-in from this perspective, which is why the article's title include's "Tabula Rasa Semantics..." this was to assert if there were any benefits perhaps they occured on an atomic level in the voltage pathways (gates, ozidized junctions etc.). That the initial flood of electrons affect permenant changes to the silicon, this is not in dispute. Do those changes leave the material less resistive for every consecutive current? That I thought would be, could be, the only benefit. However that was a moot point considering back-line testing (Or Real Burn-in) enatils the manufacturer putting intense amounts of voltage through the chips, looking for what is known in the industry as "infant mortality" those processors predestined to fail. They also "bake" the cores at excessively high temp's for the same purpose.Quote:

I proposed in Part III as testing procedures evolve concurrently with miniturization simply baking, and burning will no longer suffice beyond shortenng the life of the processor. manufacturers initial test procedures may already cut the life of the processor in half! You get it for the rest, or you get a "middle aged" core, not a NEW one, by strictest definition of the term. It's the least expensive procedure to date. Scary isn't it?
Anyway, for testing stability, I agree there's no better way then to loop.

Whoa if you can do that with a microchip then; "the ladies..." must be pretty happy! Welcome to the Xtreme! I believe that may be the highest OC on H20! Excellent job! Go's to show you the voltage tolerance the AMD Thoroughbred core's are capable of. They really had an excellent yeild with .13-micron process. And it looks like the OCZ DDR400 did pretty well too at 57.3MHz overclock. I think AMD actually put's like 2.50Vcore (maybe even 3.0Vcore) through their CPUs when they "tray cook" them, during factory Burn-in.Quote:

Liquid3d, have you seen this paper about "cpu conditioning". Might give you some ideas, I've no idea if his theory is sound though. From what you say about the testing process it would seem that cpus come "pre-burnt" anyway. :) I've owned 4 XP's, 1 TBird, and 1 Duron and none of them ever showed any evidence of this phenomenon, neither have any of my memory sticks. I had the chip below up to it's max after 1 day!

I've tried up to 2.125 vcore, above that it refuses to post. Annoyingly the NF7-S bios jumps from 211 to 213 fsb, I think it would probably do 212 ok because it will load windows at 213 but it's not stable.
BTW, I don't keep it at that speed 24/7, even with watercooling 2.06v is a bit toasty, especially as I like to run my radiator fans at a silent 7v and I have a gpu block in the loop as well. It does 12x210 (2520MHz) rock solid at 1.85 vcore and I'd rather have the silence than 125MHz extra cpu power for normal use. :D

With relationship to the chip, he would be very convenient in a prometeia, because it only saturates to 2,2v in 2,175v he works well, without problems.
This over should really be among the highest with h2o.

But as efficiency taste, I don't have a lot of problems with noise, the one that I look for is to break recorts of efficiencies in wc and also wc + over
those are some pictures (very bad of my new radiator F2 Extreme) unhappily my main camera broke, and I had to revive my old casio pre-historic and horrible, position better pictures of my systems as soon as has better images, later I pass the data of as this radiator works for you..

That is not really alone a radiator of impressive finish, it is resulted of 2 years in studies and developments of radiators for watercooling systens of high performance and I use concepts and materials never implemented before.
It is not a radiator adapted for watercolling systen, it is a radiator manufactured for that :cool:
I will open a discussion and I will post a link here with more information on your operation, technologies and employed materials, but before I will leave more some pictures below on him here

do you have pictures of your radiators? you are not the only that likes big rads, I think I and you will feel well...
Some characteristics of the radiator:
That radiator is made with 3 arrays of flat tubes opposed and 12 layers of laminate pure copper for each inch of height,
it has in the total of 54 flat tubes divided and opposed in 3 arrays
it works in an only fluid passage, he has TWO entrance of 1\2 in the superior camera and TWO exit of 1\2 in the inferior camera
the entrance has a special camera that feeds of fluid in a homogeneous way all the flats tubes .

2.6 is rock stable but major bandwidth hit at 200 FSB so hafta drop to 198 to get nice mem scores. 198x13 2.575 @ 2.0 vcore
holy smokes do things feel fast up here, so this is what 200FSB is like heheh.
Been folding alot and seems to be making my chip faster and faster, so i guess im a burn in believer now =)
