I've only tried cas 2.5 and its a no boot situation at 250mhz, to be honest I've not tried anything at 200mhz so it may work.
I have booted at cas 2.5 at 200. I think i maxed at 210ish.
Like EB and such the idea was 2.5-2-2 might work as well as 3-2-2. But not 2-2-2. hence some skepticism by our friends here. I'm thinking that's what they're thinking, excuse me for talking for other people.

This is memtest stable as well. I'm superpi 32m'ing right as we speek on DDR430.
edit: interesting. DDR430 is memtest stable with 2-2-2 but not Pi stable, it seems. I need to mess around with the timings more. It's also BSOD'ing, which is also strange since I've been able to game just fine with that speed until now (i just played at a lan party and loaned a stick to a friend so that he could actually play some of the games.) Anywho, I'll do what I can to back up my statements, haha.
:D Please do. I want and hope you can :toast: ! That would give me a little hope :slobber: . I can boot to windows and run games at a bunch of different timings, but i get the BSOD and cant run super pi or prime 95 at sub 3 timings. I'd much rather lose a little speed and run em at cas 3 for the stability. BSOD truly sucks :(Quote:

Ok after extensive playing with various bios revions, 704-1 seems the most stable for this memory (for me) and the X2. See my sig
Running at 280mhz 10x with EVERYTHING in memory settings on "Optomised Defaults" execpt for setting memory speed from "Normal" to "Fast". Left everything else at defaults including the Tref of 3120. Memory is at 2.7v and 3-3-3-8 1T. This is PI32 stable and Prime stable for me. I'm at work right now and will be at my other house tonight but will post some screen shots on Friday.
Edit: Also for those you you try these sticks out, when you change your voltage from 2.7v to 2.8v I've noticed that the Data Drive Strength changes from Normal to Weak when left on Auto. Someone really need to play with the Drive Strenghts to find out optimal settings. I have found that the weak strenghts are causing errors with my sticks when I increase the Vdimm. I'm confident that with the right Data and Dram drive strenghts that most of the issues of OCing these sticks would go away and we might even see someone hit 300mhz ;)
I'm curious as to where you people bought this ram from. The only place I've seen it available was direct from crucial, and I was just wondering if there was some place that I could get a better deal.
I bought mine from Newegg, but the Tracers are now discontinued so not sure if they will have anymore in stock.
edit: the Egg seems to have them in stock

I was dissapointed that I can't get the 1GB Tracer sticks any more. Looks like I'll have to settle for the plain Ballistix.
Shot an email off to crucial 2 days ago asking essentially: "wtf no more tracers?"
Got this:
Hello,
___
Thank you for you interest in Crucial Technology. The current ETA we have for part#BL2KIT12864L503 is the end of August. Please keep checking back with us we are currently working to shorten this time frame.
Please contact our customer service or sales department if you have any questions. At Crucial, we are committed to providing high-quality products and reliable service and support.
___
End of August is to long for me
funny you should mention that because I chatted with an online representative from Crucial and he told me that he had no idea when the Tracers will be back.
Sweet stuff you got there, with 2gbs also that is quite a feet these days isnt it?
Is this the exact same memory ? ie 5B D

Wish i had the dough to buy another set. :(
Hey Guys thought I post my Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4GB Kit No: BL2KIT12864L503.000 Part No: BL2KIT12864L503 (LED) that Rocks  I got thes memory at newegg 4 days ago. I didn't think it would do the DDR500. I was crossing my finger hopeing it would run off of DDR500 Bios configuration and it did.My old OCZ PC 4200 EL 2.5 4-4-7 2.7V 4x 512MB = 2GB wouldn't do DDR 500 in Bios from doing stock speed CPU and my CPU-Z would show up 133 mhz dual channel ram speed everytime i try every timing setting for that ram.
Here My Motherboard BIOS Configuration from Gigabyte GA-K8N Pro-SLi F9 Bios that support DDR500! Thanks to Crucial Ballistix Tracer rated 5.1 score in Vista 64bit Ultimate

I haven't tested on memtest86 yet didn't have enough time it seam stable and fast. Perrty warm while touching it(make sure you guys hold on to the case while touching your side of the memory sticks heatstinks ground yourself good).Get hotter if i trun the voltage contorl to (+0.1) = 2.6V (+0.2)=2.7 i don't have 2.8 on Bios (+0.3) but i left it (Normal) setting i was alitle scared from reading all the reviews on newegg about the voltage. and going back touching it it was hott!at a higher voltage setting that it almost hurt my finger.but it warm at stock Normal 2.5V i think it 2.5V I'm not sure if that right about voltage contorl is there any software that montior or read voltage setting from memory rams from on your OS???
Here my CPU-Z screen shots

It is a 2year old thread you are posting in do you now that?
A good friend of mine is running 4 1 gig sticks of balistics tracer and has said very good things about the memory
yeah I know I thought I post and let people know they are still around working very good.they may have change the HS over the yrs.I got this memory not long ago for my old setup and I have to say it still able to game.lol
