If you dig into computex a bit you will know where this thread is leading =)
There was one dude there that spoke about macci.
But im not gonna ruin the fun of this thread :nono:
Guess they gotta hurry up getting new drivers to be accepted by futuremark.

I don't know what the 3rd number is. :D
my guess is it's a single card score
11198
you mean Sli'd G70 ?Quote:

Well, of course no-one can say for sure, but if you look at the rumours, which are all we have to go by and make assumptions with, R520 with its 32 pipes would have to be massively inefficient to lose to the 24 pipe G70. Also bringing multiple cards in the equation, i think its safe to assume (for now at least), from the very early results, that crossfire itself is at least on a par with SLI. Also notice how zakelwe says 'I would guess' and 'I would have thought'.
Remember last year when Ati made a press release shortly after releasing R420 where they stated they had broken the 3DMark world record with and amazingly clocked R420? Well, my bet is that this time it won't be different.
PD:Macci was the author of that record wasn't he?
I mean with ATI hardware.Quote:

because it is not final, could get higher before Macci goes home
Very mysterious :)Quote:

And the person at Computex will not be beating him if he has 2x r520 because it will not be publishable at all until that category goes up.
Any more clues ? :)

I was talking about beating shamino.
What happend to macci and gray ?
Total silence ?
The secret is out :P

Woot!!
daaaaaaaaaaaamn thats high! im sure nvidia will have something to attack this with soon enough tho.....
has futuremark added crossfire support? OR does it just show as one card?
Nice work there :toast:
My wild guess is that Record will stay.. lets say a month
Amazing sportsmanship there Shamino...ty for breaking the news...Now lets count how long it takes for Saaya to update the front page with this :p: j/k.Quote:

Perfect marketing by ATI.
And what an experience for macci. I love this!!
"Crossfire" is a really sweet name...
VR-Zone has this post earlier today:
"Interestingly, he mentioned that the 3DMark05 world records for single and dual cards have been broken by none other than macci. He also mentioned about a 5 digits score on a single card which is certainly incredible and a score much higher than 14472 set by Shamino using NVIDIA 6800U SLI on the Crossfire platform. Of course, Catalyst 5.6 was used which improve 3DMark05 performance by some 10% according to ATI."
