I use uTorrent on my mini server P3 450/384MB RAM, because it is very small and I get very good speeds: usually over 300KB/s.
On main rig I use Azureus because I tend to get over 400KB/s
utorrent + demonoid.com :)

I tried uTorrent, I had a download going at about 200kb/s, Switched to Azureus with tht same torrent, jumped to around 300-400kbps
I think everyone is going to have a different experience with each program because of leechs/seeds/connection/route of date/servers/firewalls/traffic/users/etc.
Some of us are lucky some aren't.
I ahve yet to see a Download hold at more then 150kbps at home, school, my gf's house, all have various connections. THOUGH I didn't see 3MBs on a small program download on a school computer. But certainly not on a torrent/P2P program.
utorrent
Azureus loaded with options and plugins.
Utorrent small and light
Thanks
I use azureus but there is another program that is the same thing but not java baised, I have been meaning to make the switch but have been busy. Dont remember the name.
utorrent (no need to install and very simple)+ supertorrents.org= 190kbps with a 1.5MB connection (MAX speed).
utorrent (once the ports are open)
Spot on. Azureus if you want a fully featured client that it platform independant (What i use for WinXP and Fedora when I have it installed)Quote:

I Second that!! the 155kb uTorrent.exe does everything I needed from Azureus without Java, without crashing, and without serious resource consumption. Right now I'm seeding and leeching over 40 moderately large torrents while consuming 9 Megs of RAM and the occasional cpu spike up anywhere up to 30% when loading/rechecking/completing files. Moves and sorts my .torrent and download files upon completion to my specifications and allows me to shape my bandwidth in any amount of ways from giving max priority to the stuff I want now and nicely rotating my seeds to get my ratios in perfect order in the shortest amount of time (great for demonoid fiends :)Quote:
