How's the release of BNOBTC version 6 coming?
Is there a program that will let you test AMI BIOS and let you view it?
Hey Borg,
Do you have a tool for editing the Asus P5WD2 Premium bios?
When I try to open my bios file I get the following windows error:
AMI BIOS Configuration Utility has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
AppName: amibcp.exe AppVer: 2.43.2.0 ModName: amibcp.exe
ModVer: 2.43.2.0 Offset: 00016967
I'd like to change the default boot order for the hard drive controllers (eg. drives on the inbuilt ITE8211 controller to boot before drives on the Primary IDE controller).
Thanks
John
Borg Number One,
I'm having problems saving the changes in this bios.. I'd like the ddr366 divider and the ddr300 divider (which has no menu name.) I can change to selectable but it will not save. Could you mod it? Bios is as follows: 9nda3+

@all
Borg Number One is back. :)
Hi SnipingWaste.
There are new AMI programs to test the BIOS Setup Menu in AMIBIOS8 BIOS files.
But the programs are not really public yet...
Well, AMIBCP for Windows 2.xx is able to simulate some early AMIBIOS8 files.

Hi pee4
Because you also requested help via private message, I replied via private message.
Hi tdamocles
Tell me what you exactly did.
And tell me the problems which appear.
Hi Riska
Because there is also / already fn25s028.zip available, I would like to know, if I should check/modify the ...028 BIOS file or not.
PS:
Where is this picture from?

Hey Borg welcome back !

So we are back to it again wait wait waiting....
Hi admin.
The automatic topic reply notification does not work anyhow correctly.
I just got a topic reply notification reffering to Riska's latest thread (03-25-2006 09:35).
But I did not get a notification when Riska's previous thread (3-20-2006 08:32 PM) was published.

If you are interested in using ROMOS or ATASX then I also can add both new features in your BIOS.
ATASX is a possibility to protect/close your hard disk drives with a password and to prevent un-authorized password setting commands.
ROMOS is an emergency operating system.
Here you can read more about projects:
http://www.fitzenreiter.de/ata/ata_eng.htm
http://www.volny.cz/rayer/romos/romose.htm
Thanks great but i need the 300mhz fsb as in all the old bioses
hi BNO!
could you check for me if there are any options to unhide in Abit NF8 BIOS:
http://www.abit-usa.com/downloads/do.../nf8/nf817.exe
thanks in advance.
Can you take a look @ either bios 1.50 for asrock SataII or 04XX.bin.
LMK if there is a way to change mem divider's or maybe add vddim or other settings.
Hi Guys,
When i try to edit the Asus A8V Deluxe rev 2.0 bios on the AMIBCP it says - invalid row value after i chose the file i want to edit.
And using the DOS program - it says Checksum error - even if i try to check the bios on the CD. So it looks like it´s a kind of bug.
Anyone knows if there is anything hide on the asus a8v bios that can be unhide and moded? - Like a new firmware for the Promisse controler or anything related to this ?
Thanks in advance !

If you are interested in using ROMOS or ATASX, then I also can add them to your BIOS.
ROMOS is an emergency Operating system with file manager and hard disk/floppy access.
ATASX makes it possible to manage password protected hard disks and to protect your hard disks with a password.
(Using: ATA Security Mode Feature Set)
Here you can get more details
ROMOS:
http://rayer.ic.cz/romos/romose.htm
ATASX:
http://www.fitzenreiter.de/ata/ata_eng.htm
3.)
If you would like to remove the small/ large BIOS logos:
http://bnobtc.pix-art.com/images/bio...t-nf8_logo.png
http://bnobtc.pix-art.com/images/bioslogo/awardbmp.png
...then let me know.
There is also no problem to use your favorite photo/logo as your own BIOS boot splash screen.
Hi jonspd!
There are no more settings to unhide.
But doing following is recommend:
The more users write mails with wanted BIOS features to ASRock the better are the possibilities that ASRock will publish BIOS updates with more options/menus.
