See Hard's DFI review, it couldn't pass their 24 hour stress test. That's on a cherrypicked board from DFI! Doesn't suprise me.
Lucky you.Quote:

I would not put money on MSI since they do not care about enthusiasts but if you need a solid workhorse their boards are fine. And another thing, they have decent and accessible support, unlike Epox, Chaintech, and similar.
Another Dead DFI NF4 Ultra. The system just hanged. i tried to reboot but the four diods a lit and the screen is black. I really really hope this didn't kill my FX-55.
OMG now you as well?!
Kinc - I doubt it killed your CPU. Plug your CPU into another board and fire it up. My processor still functioned without flaw after I plugged it back in my Neo2 Platinum.
Bud, ive been into computers longer then you been on this earth, so this user error bs you talk about, save it. Where were you when we were overclocking AMD DX100's? In diapers... :rolleyes:Quote:

DFI is an upper extreme enthusiast board. Everyone is going to :banana::banana::banana::banana: and complain, thats fine. Where else are you going to find a board with built in volt mods? The problem will be handled by DFI shortly.. MSI is the last people who will ever get my money again, so they can keep their A64 boards. Oh and the fact you mention anandtech in your sig, further proves your lameness in the computer world.
calm down guys, no big deal. Some people like a certain brand over another, if you would like to discuss that, theres another section for it. Don't kill this thread with talk of MSI board problems.
I have to agree that with so many board rolling out that there will be more reports of problems than normal, just have to wait for it to blow over.

Guys,
Reading this particular thread has made me very very nervous. I was planning on selling of my rock solid ASUS A8V and getting this board and I hear this :(
Heck, I sold off my X-Box, games, old CH-5 etc to gather the cash.
Is it luck of the draw which determines if the MoBO is a super clocker or a dead in the water?
I've been working with computers since tubes and punch cards. I have computers older then you. My knowledge in computers, electronics, and robotics probably far exceeds yours. :rolleyes:Quote:

That's for changing the jumpers on the SLI thing.Quote:

Yes it could be used for removing a BIOS chip, but that's not the reason DFI is giving you it.

For such a computer "pro" you come off sounding stupid slamming DFI just like MSI was being slammed by Mofo. There are many of us with great DFI boards, just like there are with MSI.

:D Hm - maybe it works also for cutting Your veins after the 12th RMA... :toast:Quote:

I'm not saying that's whats happening in this thread, but I have seen a few posts on certain forums that suggest people are still wary.
If MSI sorted the voltage thing out with the nforce 4 (not that it matters for a lot of users) it could be a good board.
I do wonder if MSI learn't anything from the Neo 2 which is always an advantage I suppose.
Now if DFI had released an nforce 3....you can see where I'm going ;)
:D Feel with me and try to understand mate - the whole wait is so boring and on my table is laying a PCI-E card what never had been in use and it gets covered from dust by the time......... :toast:Quote:

Why are you people resurrecting this thread? This is a thread filled with bad luck and I'm trying to leave it all behind me now. :D
