Getting better still... lowered the multiplier and increased mem speed.... upped the clocks on the card a bit, seems like the card still has room to move...

wow :slobber: some 500 marks left to go before the big 30k! Its gonna take every bit of effort and tweaking to reach this glorious goal! 20MHz higher ram clocks gained you alot, not bad at all! Thats some godly cpu and ram clocks you have here! did you see my comments about going thru more than 1 6600gt ;)

In answer to pik-ard I use the following LOD for a run
car = 3.0
drag=10 :)
lobby=4.6
nature=3.6.
I find dragothic really likes a high LOD, I think because it helps the lowly 128bit bus for memory textures. Give it a try and see if it helps, hopefully it is not something particular to me.

I get the feeling you will pop in a rather nice SLi score in 043 and 05 :D. Try dragothic at LOD 10 as well and see if makes any difference.Quote:

Geforce4Ti4200 - My ram stops at 1232 for benching! Sounds a LOT like my 2.0ns 6800GT clocks.
You change LOD in between tests :) SHould try that too and go for 10.2K :) 10,1 is alsmost there ;)

In the 10K I didnt have any artifacting on second run, only one splash in Ragtroll, my good orc :rolleyes: :) I think it was 603 / 1232

Don't mind the orange, spray paint isnt finished yet, and I have to put new tubing on as well (hence the GBA box). I think the goop on the RAM sinks is holding me back, as the sinks aren't as warm as they should be :(

Thanks for the support! You and Andy were a big help. I tried every tweak... experimented with LOD and adjusted the clocks on the card but the score was getting lower... I think I'll take a break by running 03 and 05... might as well try and set some records there now that I think I can get the card up to 640/1250 and beyond (perhaps will put more volts)...Quote:

lol, ya went and got me by 3 points in 3dmark03... ya need to get higher card clocks though... you only beat me because of that extra 800mhz of cpu power.(gt1) ;)
That was only a quick first run..... LOD still only at 3.0, not tweaks, no real playing and my card can go way higher, and my CPU/RAM's too....

there it is for comparing. mine was a quick first run, then i couldnt get it to get through it all at those clocks again... it would keep downclocking and giving around a 8900 score... :(
ust found out that the stock a64 cooler fits, so this weekend i will reinstall xp and start benching again hoping to get close you guys in top

6600gt not run exact at temperature down 24 celsius grades, all frequencies is reset at 500Mhz......
