I can clock the fsb on 300mhz in the windows. When i clock the fsb in bios on 300fsb, than is the screen black by the next boot.
msi k8n neo2

It's all luck of the draw. My retail 3500+ Winchester needs 1.6V to do 2.5GHz Prime stable. I can run windows and SuperPi at much higher clocks but Prime errors out immediately.Quote:

SuperPi 8M @ 2818MHz => 5m 27sec
That's some nice results! I do need to spend all my money on a 3200+ instead of a 3000+ :D
I was wondering the same.... :(Quote:

Because motherboards are too dumb to register the neg temps so -20*C is to the motherboard sometimes a positive 200*C at which point the computer stops working. It seems like a modded BIOS could fix that tho.....Quote:

Which boards work and which not ? I need to get a new sys and it'll be great not to take something that doesn't work with my prommy
Edit:

deal??
Nope... my mach 1 is regassed with bbq grade propane, and has a shorter cap tube for greater capacity....it stays at a nice and cool -51 on the display with this winchester....my old barton used to drag it down to -45, so these winchester's run nice and cool.....
I dunno why so many guys are having problems, unless it is just with the mach 2's?
sai....I would get atleast a 3200 as the 3000's 9x multi is too limiting.
3000+ 9x
3200+ 9,5x
3500+ 10x
I guess ? Which board to get ?
3000+ 9x
3200+ 10x
3500+ 11x
Are there ever going to be mobile versions of socket 939? I think some 35W Winchesters would clock like madbeasts.
theres going to be mobile chips, but I think their S754. But who knows...could change.
hot damn, a mobile 754 winchester, now THAT is bang for the buck :p:
Hmz if I got this right the motherboards for s939 cant read negative degrees so it will :banana::banana::banana: up and show like +60C? Isnt possible to shut down the option that the computer should turn off if the cpu gets to hot? or isnt there any option like it in the bios?
.. and I still don't know wich board to get, great !
