I can only say what I have used. I have Gskill PC4400 2x512 modules. Gskill has some faster stuff out now. I would recommend getting Gskill because it clocks very well on intel based boards. Even better on amd based boards.
you must the PCI frequency to 66 Mhz, the you'll be able to get higher.Quote:

Hi everyone. I am with this motherboard(i865PE). When I put 2 DIMMs, the PAT doesn't actually work. CPU-Z shows that it is turned on, but actually it is not (there is no memory read acceleration). The FSB is normal(200mhz). Does anyone know what may the problem be?
If i try to turn the PAT on from the BIOS, the PC doesn't boot even with timings 3-4-4-8(we are talking about ddr400), even with 2.8 Vdimm :(. But when it is one DIMM module, it starts without a problem, and the PAT works(there is memory acceleration). Why doesn't it boot with 2 dimms with PAT? They are exactly the same.:(
P.S. I am with the last BIOS for this MB.
Depending on what chips are on your module, it might not be able to handle the aggressive nature of PAT, even though it is mean't to be a chipset tweak. Would suggest looking at your ram and writing the model/numbers down as to ID them for future reference.Quote:

Is good practise to test your bandwidth and latency to determine between PAT on/off, as opposed to cpu-z or simular programs, often these could give you a misleading reading.
Hm... My memory is TwinMOS. Everest shows Memory ID "M2G9JAHAMK9F081KAD" . From the shop i brought it from, it was sold as "No Name RAM". So let me explain you the situation with the bios.
There is an option "Top Performance". When I enable it, PC doesn't want to start with 2 plates of ram. Then i have to remove one of them, and pc starts. In my bios, there is not an option to set the level of PAT. Asus have this option, but my motherboard doesn't have it. On i875P chipset, with the same two sticks of ram, pc starts without a problem, even with overclock.
I moved the plates on different DIMM slots, but nothing changes  . Even memory tweaker doesn't help. Any other suggestions ? :brick:
