LOL you regasses yet ? Guess my mach2 with 1x P4 kit and 2x AMD64/FX kits will be enough (crosses fingers it never breaks down)Quote:

oh well, guess S754/S939/S940 will last a while, so no need to worry about CPU kits in the immediate future..
now's the perfect time to void ur warranties and regas with R404A :D
Thats not good business, as nventiv have shown. Good business is high turnover, thus increased profit. IF the price rises, sales drop and GM falls, basic business, if you want to stay afloat that is.Quote:

Like I said, prepare for $1000 LS units...
Now more than ever Asetek can put a sticker on an LS and put a better "air drier" on it or something and call it an LS-XS for like $1200, now that GT i no more... it's simple Business 101, supply and demand.

As far as I know Asetek control the retail price and will stop resellers from increasing prices. I will be just as disappointed as you to see that happen but I know it won't.
As for the forum, do you mean the Nventiv bashing on Asetek open forum? I asure you there will not be, if you see some please point me to it and it will be closed etc. The thread like this at Asetek it very tame tbh and will stay that way. So being a thick Englishman maybe you can just pop me an email and tell the problem?
Capiche? ;)

No ones bashing anyone, we were worried for users that buy one. The people with the know how to fix them or know someone that can are ok, but what about the others? The sad Fact was, the GT and ST looked like a last effort to save the company, but the GT was suicide, it's not Asetek saying this m8, it's DANFOSS. Mail the people that make the compressor you all use for your own units. Maybe even speak to the man that designed it, I would think he would know everything about it ;), but thats another matter for another thread. No bashing :confused:Quote:

Personally... I think nVENTIV going under will just stir up the custom market to the point of creating another competitor for Asstek. Can't wait to see who from XS or XR is involved 'cause you know someone will be. :)
I hope someone does start a new company and good luck to them, it creates a faster moving market.
I think some respect is needed for resellers and users at this time, they are the one that need help from people like yourself.
Cheers
will the cpu kits from vapo fit the mach 1
baker: you should sell cpu kits too
but then again, that compressor is in the cooler that produces the lowest (without modifications) temps, so it can't be all bad...Quote:

The resellers are going to take a big hit on this, and some may go under because of it. When you RMA it to them, who do they RMA it to?
Keep in mind that we are talking about products that are user installed. A little twist of the evaporator head and they get it back for an expensive repair.
Time for the rise of "Xtremesystems the Cascade Co".....:p:
Bulldog20 I would say nventiv using a R134A compressor with R404A in their GT would be as bad as say Asetek's XE don't you think? ;)
In both cases Danfoss clearly states that it doesn't work but wait that didn't stop Asetek.
Pretty hyprocritical.
Just wanted to update that Kit-Tronics.com has dropped $100 of the $200 increase for the Mach1. Greer replied to a couple of my emails and came up with great reasons for increasing the price. Basically the increase goes towards the honoring of any warantee claims for the now defunct nVENTIV. (still bums me out saying that)
..at least asetek has support...that you can actually see and use. They have a great forums that end users help each other out and the support staff is there too.
I wonder what the outcome had been if nVENTIV had taken the same approch to supporting their products with a forums, seems all I ever heard was lack of reponce from them when there was a problem or question with their product. I know that fact alone is what led me to by the LS over the GT. Glad I did now.
Argh.. We've all just been
Glad I bought my GT :D
And I have all kits available too, hehe. But my Mach1 wouldn't very likely be repaired now... I got their confirmation, and it should be called back for repair this week :(
That's really bad news ...
Hmm. I'd like to get the Mach1 baker vid card modded then, but dunno how here in cr*ppy Germany
Shipping alone would kill me... :(
Gee I wonder why Asetek hasn't had their titles changed to *TROLL* yet?
Heh just giving em a taste of what they're showing everyone else ;)
I don't know about you guys, but I always beleived the best marketing was never acknowledging competition exists.
`s
It's a different compressor :confused:Quote:

Do your own research on it :)

Can we please stop with the talk about Nventiv compressors. This is a thread that was put up to mourn the loss of this company, not an oportunity to say they were bad to begin with. As far as I know people have been regassing mach I's and mach II's for some time and I've never heard of a compressor failing. Be that as it may Nventiv made excellent products and its sad to see them go.
I'd love to keep this on topic, I just can't stand the Asetek guys coming in and trashing the nVENTIV units. I own products from both companines and I think they're both great.
Yeah they're different compressors but Asetek is doign the same thing, R404A in a R134A compressor. :P
i'm past mourning,
are kit-tronics really jacking up the price?
i dunno, but i think they're making a profit from buying cheap old stock. and selling them for even more much more!!
honor the warrenties, i don't think so, maybe one or two just for show. i mean how many peeps do you know got replaced with a whole new unit.
and when more people realise there is no future for the mach2, they'll drop the prices.
i foresee cheap mach2's on forsale forums. that will be the best time to buy. but people will still be put off by dead end technology.
ofcourse some of you won't have probs with DIY kits on machs, but most people will see the mach as obsolete tech.
imo i think kit tronics should sell them cheaper, and keep a fixed number of stock for warrenties. that is fair to nventive. not rip people off by increasing the price by $200!! thats robbery!!
asetek will be keeping the prices the same, why not them
obsolete tech or not, it still    :banana:s over anything Asetek has to offer...
plus I would rather not support a 2nd rate company with complete disregard of ethics..
This thread has turned to the [H] side... :(
It's a shame, there is just no help some people.
:)
Enjoy :p:
Cheers
Pity nVentiv went broke....
imo, most end-users after vapor-phase-cooling would definitely look at the asetek units as they're way cheaper & offer similar performance...
When I say "most" end-users, I mean ppl that want best bang-for-buck....
Vapo LS in OZ is AUD$1375...
Mach II in OZ is AUD$1650 (for the ugly looking black case)...if you can find it...
I've also read a few stories where ppl getting warranty done on their Mach I/II had to send the unit off & wait so long before getting it back...
When I bought my Vapo PE, it had a leak. I contacted asetek support & they were very helpful...
I had a "new" Vapo PE sent to my front door within 1 week of aseetek support declaring the unit faulty...
Didn't have to send my unit off to them first, got the replacement & then sent the faulty unit back to them....
Now that's what I call service...
Getting back to nVentiv...sad to see them go but I hate to say this, their support/warranty was severely lacking compared to Asetek's support/warranty....
I do not mean to offend anyone. I agree that the Mach II ST/GT et al is a better cooling unit... Just that the support (apart from JCViggen) wasn't too crash hot.
Just my 2 cents on the matter....
ehm, warranty @ chip-con was verry good imho,
send my unit to Denmark on 25/08/03.
and almost one week later they shipped my unit back :
