Yes, that would require actually altering the sourcecode and re-assembling the module. Its alot to ask of someone who doesnt have the sourcecode to work with.
The tweaks they do are simply using different modules (self contained code sections, with different settings implemented within) and re-combining them to try and get the best mix of off the shelf settings.
They also have done a small amount of assembly hacking, adding small code segments wedged into the existing assembled bios code. But going the next step, to disassemble entire modules, and re-design/assemble adding actual features, thats a hefty project. Especially without the NForce2 technical reference.... so you dont even know what it is you are diddling. With the NF2 tech docs, you could fill in the symbol table for the disassembler to know what is what for all the motherboard's hardware, and THEN it would become alot more feasible to redesign the bios for our needs.
Again, it is PATHETIC that the modding community has to be doing any of this, stems from absolutely ZERO OEM cooperation with customer needs.... with the bright exception of Oskar Wu and DFI. But even Oskar is off doing A64 stuff now, so we may never get his help again.
for anyone not running D10 and using 2x512MB BH5 I recommend:
D24_4247_ED_D14bpl
Got me from semi-stable at 228 2-2-2-11 to 100% stable at 229 2-2-2-11... not a big jump but welcome all the same. I also gained a marginal improvement at the same clock rates.

Is that for anyone not running D10 and also NOT using 2x512MB BH5? Or for anyone not running D10 and IS using 2x512MB BH5 ? :p:
Which bios were you going from semi-stable at 228 2-2-2-11 ?
tictac and others responsible for these bioses...
I would like to officially thank you for your hard work. Your work has allowed me to hurdle over my 200fsb wall. I'm now at 216fsb, 2-2-2-11, cpu interface enabled.
Thanks much man and keep up the good work.:toast:
Yes, he has done excellent work. I can hit 240FSB on my AN7! Very nice indeed!
So my CPU was like 11x240fsb. Great stuff!
are you a programmer by chance? LOLQuote:

I meant for everybody that is (NOT using D10) AND (Using 2x512MB BH5).
I am coming from D23_3DFire_R2_CPCON, which was my previous favourite.
CPCOFF BIOSes do no good to my rig, they lower my performance per-clock and leave my max FSB exactly the same as before.
