I hope you can get it going high fsb and high vcore together. I have to wait till I get a LP B as an exchange for my 3rd dead (crappy) infinity :(

Howd you manage to kill it so quick ? vmods ?Quote:

It had problems from the start keeping my settings and not rebooting. Today it just never rebooted at all.

if I remember, the Infinity revision A has a max 2.8 volts in Vdimm, and the B has 3.3 Vdimm. not much different other then that.
I have a DFI Infinity A here I am building in my friend armandos PC, and although I can't remember the voltages, I remember the Voltages weren't any different then a "B" version other then the low Vdimm.
haha bad luck opp, gonna get another 1 or switch to another board?
There is no Infinity B, just A and A+ (Both have 3.3vdimm and similar OC capability). LanParty has A and B revisions (A sucks).Quote:

Not meaning to be an ass about it, just clearing it up. :)
OPP, i dont think the board is dead.
try clearing cmos, and remove the 100/133fsb jumper. then reboot with it out, it should boot up, then tweak your voltages and stuff, replace the 100/133 jumper and it should be back to normal. these boards like to play possum. ive had the one im using now do this 2 or 3 times, my other one did it once.

I tryed all that, i think the bios chip fryed from some ESD. Gunna get a new chip and see if it solves the issue.
In the meantime I got a NF7-S Rev 2. Now this is one solid board. these things blow doors on the orignal NF7.

OPP: Check out tictac's modded BIOS's, specifically BIOS 10 Beta 4.
Very strong per-clock and allows some damn nice FSB OC.
Got a link, this for NF7-S rev2 ??Quote:

Will this NF7 need a VDD mod?

Might grab myself a mobile barton vmod my abit nf7, and get me to first page for radeon 9600pro :)
Just do then all, will help in someway or the other.Quote:

my nf7 didn't benefit anything from the vdd mod.Quote:

vdimm is most important here
the new Nforce400-utra's dont seem to benefit from added voltage, but I don't see how it would hurt if it's cooled well.
My NF7-S needed it, but it was one of the first V2's out.
Worked best @ 1.95, needed some nicer cooling though and on the Southbridge too.
Use the stock nb heatsink on the sb.
I really don't think you're gonna need a Vdd mod, but a Vdimm mod would be nice, just like a 3.3V rail mod.Quote:

Get your 3.3V up to somewhere around 3.5V to stabilize your Vdimm.
Good luck but don't be suprised if the mobo dies easily, it used to be a common thing with the late NF7 's.
cool the mosfets! they used cheap ones that run very hot ith high vdimm vcore and bumped rails.
Put heatsinks on every lil chip you find might help.

Corrupted bios or sth like that... and that was after changing ram slots  Think the china boards are worse in quality than the 1st taiwan boards  Luck is the main factor here...
Yeah the Taiwan boards are the way to get a good board. I´m are very happy with it and i modded it so much and i have no problem with the board(And i have not been nice with it"Go higher or Die!"but it´s stil lives and rocks. my board is unreal i cant belive it"It´s never die"). If it dont post i only remove the 100/133 jumper. I hope you get a taiwan board nexttime.Quote:
