not sure if this is caused by the new SATA card I just installed but my computer will not wake up from sleep?
thanks.
I think my thermal paste lost some moisture I'm 5-8C higher, even on my 1090T TX-3.
since this board is probably limiting me anyways I'll just have to wait till i get an AM3+ board.
I've been using CHIV + FX-8150 for a week now. I'm very pleased with the board. However there are some things that I'd want implemented in next bios (hope there will be newer versions).
The thing I'm missing is higher than 1866 mem divider. Is it possible 1:5 and 1:6 be implemented? Currently I'm limited by the CPU-NB frequency on water when using the highest mem divider available (1866).
Max I could get is 1329MHz, because the IMC was already at 2850MHz. I know for sure it doesn't boot at 2900 regardless voltages, so 2850 seems the real limit.
Second thing - currently not possible to switch off cores. I'd be glad if you implement this as well.
And the third thing - there's no manual mode for cpu and cpu-nb voltage adjustments? Is it only me or that's really the case?
Otherwise thanks for the bios, the board seems pretty solid at this stage. Oh, would be good if Turbo EVO tool gets updated too.
New bios for the ch4f, v3027.
Listed as supporting new cpu's, doesn't have test in the description so it "might" be a final bios for the new gen of cpu's.
Not sure if it's meant for the older x6's as well or not though.
It's on the ftp and the main site.

Do we have an ETA on when the next BIOS update is? Right now I am having the problem of computer not waking up when it fall asleep. Or is this something I have to live with because of the FX + AM3 board setup?
Will they release a crosshair IV bios without the steam CEG BSOD bug? I still can't use my fx 8120 because of this bug.
They have fixed it on the Crosshair V and are in the process of rolling out the BIOS's for the other 990 boards but I have seen no mention of the 980 boards as yet.
You are replying to the post above mine, correct?

This morning "The Stilt" posted a program that temporarily fixes the performance issue until you get a BIOS update...
You must run the program every time you restart.
If you have the BSOD issue, you are out of luck unfortunately.
Yes sorry I don't know what went wrong there, I don't have any problems with my steam games but that fix is handy.
Any chance we get a proper bios support for Bulldozer on 890FX/GX boards? Even if it's beta...
By proper I mean:
- Fixed Turbo turn off feature, current one not working properly
- Possibility to control cores/modules (on/off)
- Higher mem dividers
- Update TurboEvo to support Bulldozer bios on this board
I know Asus is focused on new Z77 boards, but I'm still hoping there would be a new fixed bios.
However, I don't actually believe it will ever happen :(. Am I asking too much?
I think it won't hurt 990FX sales anymore...
I guess I can give up hopes if Crosshair IV will support future launch (Piledriver) then....
+1... Unfortunate because BD runs pretty well on CHIVF, minus having to enable/disable turbo core with amd overdrive in windows every boot...I have been holding out thinking Asus would come through with full support.
Download this: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ht=msr+tweaker
Create a .BAT file and paste this: (change directory to where you have placed msr tweaker)
Code:start /d "c:\AmdMsrTweaker\x64\" AmdMsrTweaker.exe APM=0
Put the BAT file in auto start, and you are good to go (may have to disable User Account Control). Or just run the BAT manually after every boot :)
Yes. With a proper bios I don't think it will be very different than CHVF. Not to mention the Extreme version of CHIV.
Asus promised and claimed that certain 890 boards will get a Bulldozer support. Well, they do, but it's incomplete.
CHIVF clocks memory fairly well, but for DDR3-3000 I would need 321 HT Ref. Higher mem dividers (+ higher mem timings) would give us more flexibility and avoid the need for high FSB.
I'm sure it would be good for cpu validations too, but needs core control in bios.
It would be good TurboEVO gets updated, but I can live without it. RC TweakIt actually works with Bulldozer CPU.
However, my board is coldbugged, but it would be really good for 24/7. I have a full-cover water block for it.
TurboEVO is so bad right now (hasn't been updated, it hangs and freezes for up to 30 seconds) that you have no choice but to use RC TweakIt and a netbook/laptop...
Did you guys try posting about this in ROG Forums?
