well someone was able to link me to this review on the Gigabyte 1Ghz SOC where it states the card is 11 inchs long which is clearly the longest 560 i have heard of so far

Interesting, 11" is huge for a 560. GB looks to make the longest, and shortest 560. The 560 OC appers to use the same PCB as the 460 OC.

This is 460 reference length of 8.25" + the cooler overhangs the back of the card a bit. W/the rear power plugs this should still fit. But it's not the the SOC, w/the better binned GPU.

yes that is what i am deciding on now to purchase the OC version as it will fit this case even though the plug ins are at back of card it will fit. just sad the soc wont fit as i wanted the 1000mhz version

Temps seem right in line w/ the nvnews review, so it looks like everything's ok. For those w/ the MSI, what were the default voltages for full 3D? Temps w/ furmark/ocscanner/etc? Fan @ 50%'s below the noise floor of case, so that's great. I guess the superclocked gets a voltage bump. Any other EVGA SC owners?

Only a 1yr warranty on the SOC :(.

Well, I just ordered 2 GB GV-N560OC's for my "on the road PC" P-55 micro, i5 760...

Should be some awesome m-ATX gaming fun. I aim to fold w/these as well, on Hotel power:devil:

Should be at my house soon, too bad I won't.:( 3 year warranty on these. :up:

Those voltage are slightly higher than GB 560 OC's 900/1002. It runs with 0.9500 Idle/desktop and 1.00v for 3D-load, at stock.

Interesting to see that stock RAM-speed on EVGA, but they got a good point there, the RAM OC really good on GTX560.
I've pushed the RAM to 2400 with stock voltages and it has survived all my games so far.

Interesting, the SOC just showed up on Newegg w/ 3 year warranty. Other vendors only offer 1 year.

I said theoretically it was possible to flash a GTX460 with a 560 BIOS as it was very likely the final cluster was just masked, and this proves it. Thanks for that, completely disproves all those people who refused to take in what I was saying at the time. Thing now, would be to get a 560 BIOS from the same manufacturer as your 460 and give that a whirl. Some clusters are likely going to be damaged on GTX460s, but it doesn't mean they are on all 460s.

Its possible to flash a GTX 460 > a GTX 560, but I dont think that any of them will work without major errors because Nvidia kill the deactivated cores.

Finally got my compact build off the bench, and inside a little CM Storm Scout.
Just a little test-run to check the temp inside the case, with closed door ;). Ambient ~18'C.

I could probably push the Core a bit more at stock voltage, but keeping at the safe/stable side for now. The RAM is OCing really easy tho.

At stock voltage (1.0v), and @915/1200.

Here you can see the actual size.
With power-plugs connected, it's a few cm shorter than the width of a standard ATX-MB.
The cooler sticks out of PCB, a few cm, and covers the power-plugs actually.

One thing i notice, the GB card isn't quite 2 slots wide, this should make for great airflow w/SLI. Also, it looks slightly shorter [PCB] than the reference EVGA card.

In some sense that's true ...

I tried changing device id, converting all the available ID to make it a 560 bios as 460 bios.When i flashed this bios it is until windows startup but fails at desktop.

With no modification it is stable in desktop but fails in games ... i think there's some kind of a trick that needs to be applied testing ...

Even if u flash a 560 bios on 460 ,it is displayed as 460 only strictly ... thats strange ... i even flashed by clearing “nvflash –eraseeeprom” .

LOL, don't tempt me, because I've been thinking about it, but I won't need more than one for 1080P-gaming :).
I don't need a 4C/8T 4GHz+ CPU either tho, so you are tight, it may be a good idea to get another one.

Yeah that cooler is pretty slik, and you will have a bit more spacing for SLI.
Many of 560-coolers, including this one, have moved fan(s) towards the back of the card, otherwise it would make even better airflow.

My local dealer got GB SOC in stock for few days ago. It got 1.11v :eek: stock voltage.
That's a big voltage-bump (compared to 1.00v for GB OC) , but I don't think that's enough for a stable 1GHz, unless they got better chips, or some kind of tricks, LOL.

Anybody has got it yet?. It will be interesting to see it in action.

Well seems like they do come with 1.1 stock 1000 core.. bit confused though.. takes the standad gb 560 to reach around 1.2 and still not even hit 1000.. Guessing these are binned better..

Yeah, either they are binned better, or GB is using some kind of tricks.
Anyways, I doubt a typical GTX560 would get stable with 1.1v @1GHz.

1.2v is way too much, that would push the power-usage to the roof, literally.
I played with voltages for a short while, and my GB OC needs 1.15v (max possible) for @1GHz.
It was doing pretty good, and passed all tests and games I trough on it, but I didn't like the power usage, so I didn't test it throughly, and don't know how stable it was actually.
I've tested with 1.1v @1GHz too, it was shaky and unstable. It will be interesting to see how SOC is going to do it.

Well if it doesnt clock @ 1000 default thats marketing gimmick.. Seems like they can push up to about 1044 without bumping the voltage on the 560's.. still determined to find the default vid of the SOC.. anyways thought i'd share this not that much info..
