My result :)
G.skill ECO 1600 CL7, cpu cooled by SS
Same efficiency, 10Mhz more, 00.016s difference...

You do realise however that destiny played a role in this,don't you?It would just not be fair than an AMD maniac buy an intel and get a very good chip at first try :D (i'm joking or course =)) )
I do believe you are right ALEX, it's Karma, I wore a Hi my name is Dr. Who? name tag at CES.......Now i get a crappy chip.
:rofl::ROTF:
TBH never found a killer intel chip, I did find a 980X i was content with though. Well maybe my 920 is killer although i never find the time to push it.
Seriously though i lack the necessary skills to hand people there ass. It takes alot of skill to throw money away till you get a good chip ;)
its look, in Czech republic we have good batchs...most guys 5GHz air stable with air, someone only 1.32V 5GHz in prime, NoctuaNH12 !
i've been playing with 6-6-5 timings this morning. a photo of the rig...

and a sub 5GHz result...

still plenty of work to go on subs and the OS, but consider this a pretty good ballpark for a tweaked run at these clocks/timings.
as for running the 2033 ratio, forget it. the M4E wants nothing to do with my Hypers at high clocks. 7-7-6 1100MHz can do most
every thing but SPi. i can also run 6-7-6 1090MHz in Maxxmem and stuff, but not even 8M SPi.
those rams are good... its the end of hypers domination :D
With my hypers that won't run 2133 in spi32m.

With chip maxed out.

Over 1000Mhz @ 6-6-5, that is crazy :banana::banana::banana::banana:.
@3oh6 : That's one faaaast & furious run :eek: Congratz man, your ram and efficiency are great :up:
@SoF : Little update of my 1M :D

closing on sub 6.6s not bad :D
I killed my pi-windows when trying to play with msconfig so I need to install a new windows on week-end after finishing my business trip. also my board doesn't allow bclk changing anymore so I am very limited in clockspeeds atm :( think I'll need to get MIVE anytime soon :p:
@jody damn nice run man!
Yep, you should get M4E :D P8P67 is great, but like all vanilla before her, it's a pain in the arse to overclock... M4E in not faster but a lot more easy to clock ;)

well it was ok for me but I am mainly missing RoG-Connect all the time. My bench-place is fully build around rog connect so I can use my allday system for starting, rebooting and so on - without it I need to stand up everytime what sucks after a while. I also think M4E might be a bit better in mem overclocking but not sure yet. maybe it's just the better and quicker bios dev.
Silver and LSC only.
testing max without sacrificing timings with air on rams, ln2 should be interesting.

with cdt and some msconfig magix this one will go 6min 36/35s I think - not too bad chewie, specially your ram main timings make me jealous :p: :D
Hey Jody, looking good mate :up:
Try a GBT board with 21,33 multi and see how it does. It could also be a CPU IMC not wanting to play as well rather than the board unless you've tried a few chips :)
add maxmem to the mix Brian that will go into 35 easy without any real tuning or special attention to OS
