Flipping Americans. :p
I got an email last Monday saying that he would send me the invoice shortly, but not a peep from him since.
Whoops my bad, it's been a long day.
Hm, that is a little too long... S'pose all you can do is chase them again? Not sure what else to suggest
Any news on those heatsinks Jacka? Or are they still taking you for a ride?
Guh, sorry, I've been very busy lately and should have kept you updated.
They really are useless with it. The rep isn't replying to emails, and customer support apparently has no influence on him, so I really don't know what to do. I think it's probably better to just spend the extra £5 and buy them at full retail price.
No worries mate and thanks again for trying. I've been a bit behind on a lot of things since I started going to college in the evenings again so I know how you feel. Time just slips away from you.
On topic; in that instance then do you think it would be easier if me and Anarki bought the heatsinks ourselves? Save you the hassle of postage and what not. These ones right?

Edit: £6.99 postage is not so bad. I think you'd definitly pay more to post them yourself.
great heatsinks, several of us are using them
Jacka mate don't go chasing Scan down for the sake of us saving a couple of quid, I'm ok paying the full price :)
With those heatsinks do we need to do the AM2 retention mount mod?
crap, i really need to pick up my ram for this board.
I'm gonna order my sinks in a little while - Jacka will your mate still be able to make some brackets for us? For some :toast2: money of course.
They did offer 20% off and free postage to my house, but if they're not answering any emails, there's nothing I can do. :(
99% sure my friend can cut the mounts for us. I just need to draw a bracket when I get a heat sink and send him it. He's been putting stainless steel offcuts aside for me. Oh, and it turns out the backplates are actually M3 threaded so screws will be easy to find too.
You could buy retention plates from ebay and use the mounting gear provided with the heat sink. I was watching some at £1.99 free P&P but the listing ended and the seller didn't list more, but I'm sure you'll be able to find them for about that price.
If you're not waiting on other parts this'd probably be a better option as I'm not sure when the brackets could be ready. This project is in the background for me at the moment.
Also, anyone need RAM? £14 per 2x1GB, plus a few quid for postage.
I brought 4 retention brackets from ebay yesterday - came to 16quid delivered.
I deffo need RAM, put me down for 8GB Jacka I'll pay you next Thursday (pay day)
Do you want me to paypal you the money or your friend?
I can pay for it some time this weekend and have it sent to your address and then you send me the money next week if you like?
Can anyone best these retention brackets I've found on ebay?

Postage times are obscene I know...
I paid extra to avoid Chinese sellers, ship times were brutal.
RAM is on the way Anark. Let me know when it arrives!
Have the boards already been ordered?
I think you want this thread bob;

I don't think anyone has come forward to take everyones money yet though
which ram works onthese boards ?
ECC DDR2. There is a list of RAM that is certified for use on Barcelona chips on the AMD website.
Has anyone found cheap opterons recently? I am/was interested in the arima board, but I cannot seem to find decent prices on CPUs. Most I am finding are the 8347s for $45-50 and 4 of those are the price of an i7 CPU. Having a quad socket board would be nice, but as of right now I cannot justify the price of the CPUs.
Pm shoota. He has a board and CPUs for sale.
