For 5-600$ is there anything that comes close to the 9260.
If you have low latency drives the 9211 might be equal or better and for only ~230$ or so.

I want to connect some ssds on it.. they are low latency.. Do i need that onboard cache for ssds? Or do they preform better without cache?
So which controller is better.. the cheaper 9211 or the expensiver 9260..
Robin - We have seen excellent results with both controllers.
If you are planing low latency drives, the 9211 might be a better fit - see the iometer results Tiloveros has been posting (9211/8x x25m).
Also, the 9211 is approx half the price of the 9260 ($235 vs $550 or so).
