AOD problem?
1) AOD related : voltage sliders are 80% non working as some multipliers...
2) After a non post, sometimes the NB multi stays at 10X here.... I need to change one value lower or higher to get it responding again, if I bump eg 2 or 3x it stays put... very weird...
3) Needing slightly more voltage on the Giga but that could be explained with the tighter timings preset...
Leeghoofd, the issue with the NB multi is also present on Asus boards.
I've had it on my old M4A79 and both my Crosshair III Formula's.
specifically what is going on with memory...cant change timings or something else?
cant do anything in mem section in Aod at all. and nearly all the volt slideres is not working!
Got a bios here to test. Please don't ask for it or pm me for it as it needs to be tested before it can be deemed safe.
Need to play mechanic today, will give it a spin late tonight.
I cannot unlock my Phenom II x3 720BE :S
I activate the ACC & EC Firmware "Hybrid" and the consequence is that stuck on boot screen without being able to detect which drives, and so on without reacting to any key :\
Anyway I indicates that the processor is 4 cores but the consequence is the the already mentioned.
I hope it is only because of an immature Bios :\
The batch of my Phenom II x3 720BE is "0904 EPUW"
Bye!~
Hey there Chew, could you give an estimate if possible on the Release time for for the F3 bios?
I did a few tests today with a single OCZ Vertex 120gb SSD.
I hoped Vertex to be quicker if connected to sata III because sata II maximum realistic read bandwith is around 250MBs which Vertex exceeds on some cases.
The results are a little dissapointing because Sata II still outperforms sata III with a single SSd disk on that board. Very probably its not the SSD fault and the reason is badly performing marvell 9128 drivers on this board.
Both Vertex and board have lates drivers and firmware installed.
Hopefully i get my second drive soon and just maybe Vertex Raid 0 will show results on Sata 3 side a little better.
On first picture the SSD is connected to sata 2. Winner tests are marked with red

Just flashed to the F3A bios that chew posted for us.
Looks like with this bios AOD is working.
Aod overdrive is working for me with this bios, no lockups when starting overdrive.
Power settings are recognized and adjustable.
Most memory settings are adjustable now with AOD.
ACC can be ticked from AOD, starts after system is restarted.
Still testing my overclock settings for 4.o ghz, but looking good so far.
Have not run into any problems yet.
So far I like this bios, thanks NCspecV81.:)
Are you kidding me? I posted that. You're Welcome though.
F3A finally fixes AMD OD
You are still my hero Brian :D
hey speak of the devil, maybe you guys should be thanking leeghoofd. :)
Heh I said I had it, and i would test it.
Having tested beta's before with lots of hardware takes time for compatibility issues, thus why it's not leaked nor did i ask permission to leak it as I can't deem it safe yet ;)
Tried way to many beta's that eat hard drives to just leak without testing.
Time to debug this beta.
Test 1 fail sempron 140 known good unlocker will not unlock.
will edit in details as i go along.
Test 2 720 BE known good unlocker = unlocks.
I'd say that athlons/sempron will have an issue on this bios with cache/core unlocking.
Windows install is still sluggish/slow, my guess is the low HD performance bug is still not adressed.
Did some slight overclocking/ssd testing, so far PCI frequency doesn't have a mind of it's own as my SSD is still working thus far.

I like to call this old cpu microcode syndrome, it's actually quite normal from various testing on a variety of boards with "unlocking" cores.
Faster is not always faster.

tested new bios :)
Well nice to know it works on ln2 but 24/7 users are the majority ;)
Board had no issues on ln2 with the old bios other than 3d gt's are low :) in fact it looks like it still is having a 3d game test low score bug.
Score should be up around here at those cpu/gpu speeds. http://www.hwbot.org/community/submi...70_32515_marks
No clue maybe people don't complain enough, I know i bugged them about a few issues at least 3 times and finally leeghoofd got there attention.
Maybe a public post showing what issues they have will get there attention.
Seeing as this board was meant to replace the FXT it is an improvement, I'm still on my first ln2 board.
I was eating the lower PCI X slots on the 790fxt benching ln2 with 3d in x fire like a bad habit, no such issue with this board.
As far as ln2 benching it's the most reliable and "effecient" as far as ln2 usage goes because it just works.
