Nice work, callen. I have no idea where the design is going at this point, but you're doing some great work on the routing table and have some creative ideas. I like. :)
All caught up...
This is one amazing worklog... you're a magician callen!
Thanks mate. Everything should become clear in time, although how much time i can't say.
cheers skinnee. I wouldn't say i'm a magician though, more of a modern day da Vinci haha i'm kidding everyone please don't bite my head off :p:
Your skillz are amazing dude.
he's doing it again !
grate work!! keep workingg!
This is so A.W.E.S.O.M.E.
Black and blue builds are always great! One of the most detailed worklogs I've ever seen :)
And great workshop :D
I will repeat the common opinion. Wow, I can't wait to see how this turns out.
Im speachless man. You and Xion X2 are absolutely amazing at making and designing these cases... i think you 2 should get together and breed some like superchild of a case... actually, get mick in on this too!
did somebody say... THREEWAY?!
Thanks dude, appreciate it
What am i doing
I'm trying, I'm trying but work's killing my progress :(.
Thanks muki! A lot of things have changed throughout this project but i'm intent on keeping it black and blue, i guess i just have a thing for them?
Thanks mate, that makes 2 of us :)
I'm keen lol but i'll need Mick and Xion's consent first! hell throw in shazza and bec too for a better b2g ratio and we'll be good to go. In fact, i'll send charles and ian a msg too... actually scratch that, a case like that would be dangerous :ROTF: (i feel corny)
Just a quick update to give you an idea of where this is heading. No explanations are really needed so just pics this time, and
not too many either .
If your not sure what's going on or why i'm showing something, just keep going down and it should become clear (hopefully).

Only 7 more to go.
(Sorry, I guess there were a few more pics than i thought )
I know everything looks pretty rough at the moment, but once fab work is finished everything's gonna be sanded, polished, cleaned and dusted :)
Thanks for checking in guys,
Callen
Callen, I did lose all my words after your second update here and now I literally have nothing to say, so freaking cool
Pure amazing craftmanship awesomness or something like that, following this log closely dude.
Excellent work Callen.
I really like the way you have routered a 45 degree edges around the parts that wrap around the mobo.
Your right it does make it look smoother and blends in much nicer, excellent touch mate, looking forward to seeing more.
Please remember.
"Snug" is good, it's a very good word and you can never have to much "Snug" or say it to much,(well ok, maybe outside of a fabricating workshop that would be a bit strange to keep saying, so are you feeling snug today) :yepp:
On the other hand.
Gap, Oh crap and Damm it! are not good, no matter where you are.
Don't forget Nils. Then we'll take over the world, yo. :cool:Quote:

Two things are clear from this thread. 1) callen has some skill, and 2) I need a routing table.
The acrylic work is mind blowing, love it.
Another amazing update, Callen! Thanks for sharing as you go. Truly enjoyable to watch you work
Just.... wow
So nice to see a guy that uses ALOT of pictures, and with it an amazing skill with the router and other tools. Im guessing you are using lexan? (thats what we call "unbreakable" plexi glass here in Norway)
Anyway, keep doing what you do. Its awesome!
When I sayed he's doing it again, I meant pleasing me with your results of your work
now you're doing it again :D:up:
Thanks mate, you don't have to say anything, you could pop up with a blank message and it'd still be appreciated :)
Cheers dingdong, and like i said above, i really appreciate it :yepp:
I agree and i'm really happy with how it turned out. It was difficult and time consuming but i'm quite pleased with the results lol, so thanks mate :). And no, i'm not feeling too snug today, saw Lupe Fiasco last night then hit up the city, oh the joys of being young :toast2:
Everybody's welcome :) but you'll have to provide ninja gloves for all :p:. And you should definitely get a routing table, you should ALL get a routing table lol
Haha sucks to be you, joking joking, but by rough i mean the acrylic looks crappy because it still has the protective layer on it, the aluminum is scratched and need to be sanded/polished and the mild-steel needs a good sand down too. I just didn't want people thinking it would be left like it is, not that it's a big deal anyway :)
Thanks mate, i think your are A.W.E.S.O.M.E x 2 :p: and i appreciate the complement :yepp:
Cheers Liderc, it's great stuff to work with... aside from the mess
Thank you sir, and that goes both ways :yepp:
Alot is probably an understatement :p: i really need to tone it down a little! The acrylic i'm using is just called acrylic here but i think the one your referring to is perspex, which is much stronger. It's also much more prone to scratches which is why i stuck with regular acrylic.
Thanks for the complement too Viking.
Thanks dude, i figured that's what you meant, i was just goofing :)
(everybody got smilies today )
