That's the system I benched with junior21. GTX295 + Core i7 950 + Classified. First day 5.3GHz SPi 32M and ~5.5GHz SuperPi 1M... second day 5.15GHz AquaMark for a bit... After that couldn't even bench SPi 1M @ 4.9GHz :( Damn' you Classified :D

"BenchZowner + geo7dlx. Hillarious photo "
they look like brothers lol
lol, didnt see that :D
does it say "i need clas...sified" on that ad?
hmmm could it be that 32nm chips have different cache timings?
the diference here is notably bigger than with c2, isnt it?
in that case it might not be fixable :/
i remember ronak said they found some "tricks" on how to expand L2 size in 32nm without hurting latency that much...
maybe those tricks are already implemented so they can just patch on more cache later...
i hope im wrong and this can be fixed! :D
*reads fine prints of his breakfast cereals*
"may contain traces of clowns"
oh wow, who would have thought! glad im not allergic to it! :D
very nice pics george o/c!
i see gorillakos is growing his SPARTAAAAA beard again
Seens like it's not bios or mobo problem cos ASUS also slow.
http://www.iamxtreme.net/andre/gulftowntest-1.jpg
:(:(:( bad news, and strange cache give boost to 2d or singleThread softwares
Thanks for nice pics George 2
well it could still be a bios glitch and its present in all bioses for now...
could even be a glitch on intels side in their mrc code...
the bios engineers just need to check what the changes between the cpu being detected as gulftown and bloomfield are... sounds a lot easier than it is though i bet :D
georgie and andre new bios knocking on mail box
Thanks Peter.... :D
NOW.......
That's what I call:
"A company that RESPECTS it's customers"
ONLY ONE day needed for a new bios....... ;)
VERY FAST SUPPORT....No?.... ;)
Now let's see what we've got here.... :)
i7 975 CPU and EVGA 760 mobo....
http://www.hipro-tech.com/images/hip...443MHz_png.png
"OLD Bios" for i9 Gulftown CPU and EVGA 760 mobo....
http://www.hipro-tech.com/images/hip...443MHz_png.png
NEW Bios for i9 Gulftown CPU and EVGA 760 mobo...
http://www.hipro-tech.com/images/hip...Hz_new_png.png
NOT BAD AT ALL I could say..... :D
The >1sec margin in those compares between the i7 and the i9, could be due to the run.... :)
Once again, you were right my friend... ;) :)
A lot easier for us to "see" it BUT hard enough for a company's bios engineer to rewrite a new bios in one day......Those EVGA bios engineers must be dumn good.... :D
.
Nice! But i9 has more L3-Cache, so it must be a little bit faster or not?
Wow WHAT A SUPPORT!!!!:D
Only one day needed for a new bios, maybe that's why Classified it's the most expensive mobo:D....it worths though:D
nice work Peter :)
Sham's the man
Great news.Evga respecting it's costumers...Now hiprambo can do 5m50s 32mSpi !!!
Great support Peter, you are man
Nice pics George.....
the hole event covered....
