power on is 19, target is 32. So it's definitely unlocked.

This chip is insane. c'mon 2010!
Damn nice ! run it X64
CPU-Z typically shows a range on ES processors. The minimum 12 followed by the default maximum. Processors that support turbo boost are then able to go beyond this maximum.
When users are willing to spend a $1000 bucks or so for an Extreme processor, Intel is usually nice enough to give them an unlocked multiplier. i9 will likely be unlocked when it hits retail just like an i7-965 or i7-975 is.
Nice cpu score vantage but it will suck at the 3d score of vantage becouse of the low speed at 19x multi and lose lots of points.
its a nice chip for wprime/cinebench however. :)
And don't forget Chess :D
this is gonna be a rosie beast@4ghz!
3D mark 06 CPU test @ 4,0-4,2GHz please. :D
Why you guys broke NDA ??
Those guys never signed any NDAs
I could have an i9 too- but didn't want one- it's useless if you don't do benchmarking or professional work as a living ;)
Most games don't even use 4 cores...
And why all the people spoke about i9 ? Gulftown will be i7 :D
Aheeem, is that a hint? http://www.operationsports.com/forum...lins/y220a.gif
cpu-z dosent support core i9 yet mabe or can read it
damn locked 19 multi =(
Guys, there seems to be only one "type" of chip circling right now. Mult 18, Turbo 19 - but definitely locked, unfortunately - or I would have gotten one by now :D
Chrisch, that CB10 looks low (I've seen another chip @ same frequency do >33k) is that 32bit?
Yes, its 32bit.
x64 looks like this :D

That's more like it Chrisch :)
BCLK wall?
222BCLK, but i think it is the gigabyte board which limited. Its my third UD5 and all had a wall at ~221-222Mhz (with different CPUs)
i have now a RIIE here but i need a bloomfield to flash a Gulftown "ready" bios :D
Multi 19 too locked with your gigabyte UD5 ??
Edit : i have found a perfect detection here :
