As far as the boards, well some of the issues are apparent on air as well.....ln2 just amplifies certain issues.

I have used them, they rock out on air especially with 2x2g if you get a good board, 1x1 gig isn't there strength as far as Ocing ram goes.

The giga is just rock solid, not the greatest performer but works no matter hot cold etc etc.

MSI is a good air water board, the better choice IMO for multicard apps.

And asus is a damn good board as well, better for dual gpu.cfgs and air/water benching, phase to.

today first time im lucky and broked 3000 MHz at northbridge :), tomorow maybe my new 1M record :)

FlanK3r, is it bench stable yet? let's say Superpi 32M or cinebench? I think those 2 benchmark would definitely gain from NB speed, right?

today I'm testing new bios for MSI 770-C45 (bios 1.4B2), and it's working good. got me stable on cinebench @Win7 x64

for superpi maybe, dont know, so much high NB i never tested before (i tried today 4050MHz + 2800 MHz at NB), for CInebench 100% not. Cinebench is killer for CPU and NB

I can't get it to run any sort of benchmarks at that speed, though - just barely stable enough to get a validation. I might try for 4.3 GHz later.

From my perspective, if your MOSFETs can blow at the settings you're using by running software, you aren't stable. :yepp: People need to cool their voltage regulators and not even try for 1.55V to begin with if they're not on an appropriate board. Ultimately, in such a scenario, OCCT did manage to do its job!

I personally won't consider something stable until it has 24+ hours Prime and a week or two of general usage on it, crash-free.

mi rig smoetimes crashed when doing something-not-too-ver-heavy-task like opening Opera browser or browsing windows explorer or crunching, but I'm not bothered with it at all, as long as it can play my favorite games crash-free :yepp:

The highest stable prime95 and IBT frequency I can get is 3940 MHz. I managed to run SuperPi 1M at 4182 MHz, though, and got 16.516 seconds: Screenshot

my is not bad too, think, but i have fear with higher voltage in benches, i use 1.475 or 1.48V

I seem to run into some sort of wall at around 4.0 GHz. I don't think heat is the problem, since my temps are reasonable (32°C idle and 50°C load).

I believe if it is for benching, 1.575v in considered safe on air cooling, provided the cooler can manage the temps under 55°C load

I'm benching mostly @1.525-1.575v on air with my PII X2 550

but for 24/7, I'm limiting voltage to 1.4v (currently running 3.8g@1.4v. although 1.375v is enough for that speed, but sometimes getr UNSTABLE_MACHINE error while crunching)

Yeah, I've raised the base clock from 200 to 202 MHz with a multiplier of x19.5 to get 3.94 GHz. But as soon as I raise it to 203, it becomes unstable.

what mobo and bios version you got? have you try another bios? not only upgrade, sometimes a downgrade bios OC better

And what my PSU? I have seasonic 500W (with 1.55V its ok for benchmarks? Others component are in my signature)

me using Corsair VX450w (seasonic built), and it's been doing great since I got it.33A on single rail +12v.
even I run Intel's E4300 on air+ice on it. with 1.7v vcore (running 3.9ghz), and CF-X HD 3870+HD3850.
CF-X HD4850+HD4830 also not a problems
Never dissapointed with this psu. so, I believe your PSU is good.

but if doing sub-zero (I'm planning to do that someday), I'm gonna use a different PSU with >600w single rail +12v. cant afford 750w PSUs though

I have a Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P board, with the F5 BIOS. Is there a better BIOS for this board?

Memory is Corsair 1600MHz Dominator CL9, and my PSU is a Corsair TX 750W.

Chew is running the same mobo with F3L bios ;)
