If it just read some table in the bios, then it could be emulated like the OEM Windows read SLIC tables in the bios, or emulated via a loader. SLI loader :p:

The following tools can be handy:
1.
Intel ACPI Component Architecture
2.
Microsoft ACPI Source Language Assembler
I will try to insert that to BIOS from P5B DLX.
All we need is:
Get BIOS
Extract ACPI table from it
Decompile
Insert that strings
Compile
Insert ACPI table into BIOS
Flash it to mobo
I'm not BIOS / nor software coder, but I will try... :(
But have only P5B Deluxe here for experiments, and 8800GS with 6600GT :)
What about KeT? He was modding bioses, should ask for help?
Something seems fishy with this.. I don't know of a single successful attempt by modders to extract the key from a BIOS and inject it into a "non approved" BIOS without corrupting it.
So... I've just tried to extract ACPI tables from next bioses:
ASUS P5B Deluxe (AMI) <<< Extracted and decompiled successfuly.
ASUS P5N32 (AMI) <<< Unpack tool don't want to open it :(
Gigabyte P965-DQ6 (Award) <<< Extracted and decompiled successfuly.
Gigabyte N680SLI-DQ6 (Award) <<< Extracted and decompiled successfuly.
There is NO such strings as xXlAinXx stated last posts. I think there is another SLI check here.
Foxconn Bloodrage (Award) <<< Extracted successfuly. Don't want to decompile :(
Foxconn FlamingBlade (Award) <<< Extracted successfuly. Don't want to decompile :(
But for foxconn mobos I can see in extracted ACPI DSDT tables next:
FlamingBlade is similar.Quote:

Well done

oh wow nice
are you going to share it with everyone now heheh
Wow, not so fast :)
That's not mine archievement, it's made by member of TechPowerUp!, http://forums.techpowerup.com/showpo...&postcount=302.
oh i see
so i still dont buy it until someone posts full info :(
Firewings [CCG] at Expreview forum (Chinese version) has figured out the way to get SLI support for its Asus Maximus Formula motherboard based on Intel X38 chipset, with one NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT and one GeForce GTX 260 graphics card.
Is that a typo ? - Have not seen anything here or there that confirms that.

Nvidia says SLI available for all platforms according to fud?
It has been for years where is the news?
Just need to buy a little 295/9800gx2/7950gx2 - and there is your SLI.
To me it remains pure speculation, anyone can post whatever screenshot in here I never see any real scores nor screenshots ( don't refer to that SLI with 2 different GPU architectures )
I get the distinct feeling noone will ever get his hands on that patch it seems... at first all is glorious, so easy to do and finally it will be crushed again by the lawyers of Nvidia... noone will ever get it...
