TBH, those tanks don't look very well secured, either.

So the MAGICOOL is not recommended?
And among the other two, XSPC RX-120 and TFC Faser-X ... which to choose?
Thanks
I'd imagine it truly depends on your budget and preference...
Parlo dei radiatori piccoli da 120mm no dei 360!
I'm looking for 120mm radiator not 360!

dont make mistakes. if you wanne be happy for long time then choose the TFC.
 Andy, you must have drawn the short straw, you just can't win on this rad.
I went down and checked the fan spacing on both sides of the rad, they are consistent. What I did notice was the gap from the edge of the fan to the tank was greater on the end tank than the inlet/outlet tank. The difference is about 1mm-1.5mm between the gap on the bottom versus the top.
I hear you loud and clear, I've had some similar situations with other vendors...a couple WTF's turn into   because there is no other way to deal with it.
Were my observations what you were referring to or something completely different?
This is really sad . Thanks for the heads up on the fan mount , mcoffey . I would not have thought to check the fan mountings for trueness .
I have a rx120 and a rx240 and had planned to get rid of my feser 360 and replace it with the rx360 . I've been water cooling for 6 years and have been wanting
a rad with this open fin design ,fitting size and price point forever . These rad's look to be a perfect replacement for the TC's with their fitting and shroud issues .
Plus the TC's and shrouds are getting to be a drag to find .
The rx120 fan mount is .25mm out of square and .25mm to wide on both sides of the rad . With a little extra effort you can mount a fan . No big deal .
The rx240 on the other hand is off the wall . The fan mount is square enough . Butt the width is 1.4mm to wide......1.4mm . Without slotting out the fan and case mount holes
at least 1.4mm there is no way to mount this rad...............truely sad .
Both of these rad's have the marred paint prob's too . Although not as bad as mcoffey's . The paint also smells like a hazardous waste site as well .
The second biggest drag is that this reflects terribly on XSPC . I know that XSPC designed the rads and had them built elsewhere . But someone should have made sure the paint was
dry and that the fans would fit . I've had such good luck and service from all the res tops and regular tops I've used, this is just a shame . Damn its such a drag to have what should be
a great new product in your hands only to find whomever assymbled it screwed the pooch.........damn .
Hopefully Jab-Tech can help me get this sorted out . Which is the third big drag . I hate it that Jab-Tech has to deal with this . In todays bad economy its such a bummer to have something
like this screw with your already to small bottom line .
Thanks skinnee for your testing efforts .Very nice work !

The true tragedy is that John even has to deal with this . Yeah I wish I could use mine as is . But there is no way short of welding up the holes and redrilling and tapping them . I thought of taking the damn thing to a radiator shop and having them remount the side pannels . But the fins are already tight up against the side pannels and they would have to crush the rad 1.4mm to refit them . Anyway thanks for your post on the issue I in my wildest dream would not have expected to get a radiator that you could not bolt a fan to .Quote:
Couldn't agree more and John couldn't have been better about mine. I'll make do with mine because I'll use it on my MC bench.
But XSPC is a tragedy for sure. Between the fillport being hosed up on the res pump top combo, and this POS excuse for a rad, last dime they'll ever get out of me for sure. It seems like each and everytime they release a new product someone get burned. Bad threads on a res, leaky O rings on FC blocks, poor rads, the list goes on and one and on.
