Very awesome, now that HTT is back to ~2Ghz! :)
Great work (documentation of OC) zif33rs.
Now I am looking forward to OC X4 920 (when I get it).
Hopefully the DFI LR Jr is as good as your Biostar 790GX.
1 place behind zif33rs, but hey ;)

vista 64..
Finally able to breach the HT wall I had encountered. Up and running semi stable at 3.75ghz to 3.9ghz at 1.53vcore.
3.9ghz at 300 HT multi.
Attachment 92703
3dMark06 at 3.75ghz. Notice the cpu score... ;)
Attachment 92704
SPi 1M at 3.9ghz. This is a couple of tenths slower than my best of 17.672s but with a much higher HT freq and a 400mhz lower NB freq.
Attachment 92705
wPrime 32M and 1024M scores.

Still having problems getting core temp readings...its a hit or miss thing...but when they do work they have been close(couple of C) of the TMPIN2 and ACPI readings shown by HWMonitor and Everest. Usually a tad bit lower if I am reading it right. So temps seem to be manageable still using the stock HS at up to 1.55v
Back at that elusive 4.0ghz...
Are you still on stock cooler ?
Great progress zif33rs
I think yours is fastest 920 on XS
Wow, great results you got going on there!!
I shall have to watch this, getting an AMD rig soon :)
we need some people on here with N780A board seriously.....
we got sb600 and sb750 flooding here. we got info no on phenom II on these boards yet.
i really want to see how NV boards clock these up
Core i7 920 has lower clock speed and it can get the same clock speed as Phenom II 940 when overclocked. Therefore, i7 overclocks better than Phenom II
Furthermore, Core i7 920 outperforms Phenom II 940 by %22 at stock. So, the difference should be even bigger at the same clock speed

Also, take into consideration that many application/games don't use the full power of the 8 threads
Tell us more mister wizard........we are almost convinced to go buy I7, we have our credit cards in our hands..........just .......a......................lit..tle............ ...more........info.........please:rofl::ROTF:
you have 20 posts here and 15 of them are against AMD and ATI.
