Logitech G3. Ambidextrous, simple, and quite an accurate little bugger. Big advantage is the fact that it's shaped exactly like the common Logitech USB Optical Mouse that you find oh so often. It's (a good bit) heavier than those optical mice, and the drygrip stuff is pretty darn cool. Simple enough to have an advantage. Other than that, I'd like to try the SteelSeries Ikari 62001SS. That one looks good with the software.
I just bought the G9 I like it more than the deathadder lol. :(
i got a deathadder, G9, G5, SidewinderX6, Lachesis and a copperhead.
I can tell you that they are all awsome in their own ways (apart from the sidewinder which is pure fail)
The deathadder is simple and easy to setup/use and tracks very very well for a comparitivley affordable price.. The razer drivers are very customisable but are quite fiddly
the G9 has some awsome tracking, and is very versatile with its exchangable faceplates and weight system.. drivers are easy to use and very customisable
G5 is a lower spec (but very different shape) G9... Its all about the feel
IMO you cant beat the Lachesis... yes the drivers are a faf but the 4000DPI, 9 buttons and on the fly sensitivity change is pure WIN!
but theyre all awsome little devices
Currently use a DeathAdder, and love it. Had a MX518 before and really liked it as well, but didn't fit my hand the way I wanted it to.
Both are great mice, and haven't found anything else that can touch either one of them.
Looking forward for razer mamba :D
MX518 here, I need my forward and back buttons
I love my G5 so much that I bought 5 backups. I will be using G5s for as long as they are supported by the system I'm running.
i used to love my rx1000 .. until i found the ocz equalizer
I absolutely love the MX 518... I use it both for gaming and general desktop productivity. Hardware-based DPI control > software-based DPI control!
On the fly DPI (hey that rhymed) is a must for gaming mice these days
even the entry level ones have it now
Has anyone used both the G9 and a Steelseries Ikari?
Love both my G5 and Death Adder, but love the G5 just a little bit more.
Im a huge fan of the Lachesis, its 9 customizable buttons are also perfectly placed
razer salmosa, its really cheap, and I never use the thumb buttons anyway :)
G7 here, as well as MX518, gotta say I love the wireless G7, had it for years still not bored with it :p:
Could lose the 'high' wheel though, I prefer the deeper lying scrollwheel of the MX518, and the G7 'misses' one side button and I don't care for a tilting scrollwheel either... oh well
I'd like a 2009 edition of the G7 without tiltwheel, and so I mean a scrollwheel like the MX518, and a second side button, and with a little beefier batteries (8 hours then empty come on )
I notice no lag with the G7, I was skeptical at first (late 2005) but was surprised by its awesome performance
I really loved my G7 way back when but the receiver would go bad after 4-6 months of use. It wouldn't fail but would cut in and out and be very inaccurate. Logitech replaced it for me twice then the warranty ran out on it and it died again.
I just replaced my MS Sidewinder with a Steelseries Ikari and I'm in love! What an upgrade.
Anyone else using a Roccat Kone?
Has anyone used the Warcraft Mouse from Steelseries? Are you able to use all the features on other games as well?
