That doesn't sound right. Core i7 is a single die CPU... I can't see any possible way for temperature deltas of 10C+ between the cores...

Mine show that much from time to time *at idle* on Core 3 - they get closer as it warms up, but Core 0 is always highest. Sensor discrepancies..

Is there any new about the deluxe V2 version?
Gr Yil
Thanks for info !!
Does it also improve stability at *same* voltage .. or only help to lower voltage for a given setting, however stable that may be ?
ie. If I leave my CPU @ 1.4V and change delay will it improve at this setting ?
I am going to try tonight .. so I guess we will find out :)
Hey guys I have a couple questions. Why is it when I set my BCLK Freq to 190-220 my Dram Freq shows very low MHz memory. Meaning I can choose something like this 1200, 1500, then it shoots up to 2100? Is this a board or CPU limitation? I feel like it is missing some more choices between 1500-2100? And my other noob question is where is the uncore setting at?
Yeah thats the memory multiplier at work .. you get x6, x8 etc.
190 x 6 = 1140 Mhz
190 x 8 = 1520 Mhz
190 x 10 = 1900Mhz
190 x 12 = 2240Mhz
If your not seeing the 1900Mhz .. I dunno maybe P6T doesnt have this choice .. maybe upgrade the BIOS to latest
Either way unless you got super fast RAM I would stick with ~1600Mhz no matter way - theres so much memory bandwidth on these new motherboards doesnt make much diff ..
As for Uncore Clock its hidden by default I think you have to set AI Overclock Tuner to Manual .. or CPU Ratio .. one or the other and it will show the UCLK ..
Big big big big thumbs up to the new bios for me.
I can finally run 12 gigs of the Corsair 1600 @ 1600 + :)

My P6T Deluxe will arrive tomorrow . . . to replace two defective Gigabyte EX58 Extremes. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the Asus board, which is what I should've gotten in the first place!
Wow your kidding .. so this means they have officially gotten rid of the 6-slots-No-1600Mhz limitation for all brands of memory ?
The next question would be .. how fussy is it over timings if you mixed a 2nd set of 3 sticks of a different brand/timing .. would it dumb them both down to the same common denominator (as my old Inspiron lappie used to do) .. or treat them individually ?
Are you guys having sleeping issues with this board?
Well I am running Corsair Dominator 1866 6 x 1GB sticks. Trying to figure out this board setup compared to the old FSB setup on the x48 board I had.
So having a 965 CPU will show the missing below?
190 x 6 = 1140 Mhz
190 x 7 ?
190 x 8 = 1520 Mhz
190 x 9?
190 x 10 = 1900Mhz
190 x 12 = 2240Mhz
So far this is all I got too trying to figure out the memory settings. Still pushing. :yepp:

perma turbo is (would be) cool . . . if my fooking Giga board would work!!!
If you knew the ridiculous drama I had to go through with my two Giga Extremes, you'll understand how glad I am to get rid of them.
I'm fairly sure the P6T Deluxe won't be my long term X58 board but I got it at a VERY good price so it'll hold me over until something better/more mature comes along in the near future. Most importantly, I just had to get away from the EX58 Extreme . . . I was ready to toss my whole system out the window.
edit: and btw, I'd swap boards with you but, really, I wouldn't wish that Giga board upon anybody . . .
Well I congratulate you !!
Added the 100ps delays and lower CPU to 1.3815V (from 1.4V) and its passed all my standard quick stability indicators ..
Cinebench Multiple Loops (>5)
OCCT 5 min
Prime Small FFT's 5 min
SuperPI
wprime Multiple Loops (>5)
I'm fairly certain it would not pass all these with anything <1.4V before ..
I also happened to upgrade BIOS to 1102 at same time .. but I doubt this had anything to do with it ..
Now might have to try for lower voltage !
Thanks again :)
Anyone tried Extreme cooling on their P6T Deluxe /i920 ?
I gave it a run with Dry ice yesterday and observed some weird issues.
It seems that if the temp on the pot is below -40c degrees, there is no POST at boot.
It is only at boot, as I was able to work even at -60c degrees in Windows.
I am trying to figure out if this is my crazy CPU or just crazy Motherboard.
BTW, I am running the latest bios, 1102
im thinking of getting this board but i want to know in a nutshell what the issues are with this board. cheers in advance
i never use sleep mode but can it be fixed with bios updates? matter of fact can all these issues be fixed? are their any issues that cannot be fixed like maybe physical aspects of the board that can create issues?
i know that in the gigabyte boards, if you put a huge cpu cooler in, it blocks one of the ram slots
Anyone get past 4.4 with this board? I need some settings because i'm stuck at 4.4 and have tried everything.
I have done past 4.4Ghz with the board, did 215x21=4510Mhz.
My i920 Is watercooled, all parts and cooling is in my sig.
The settings I used are pretty easy:
bclk: 215Mhz.
DRAM speed: 1720Mhz (multi x8) also ram dependent
Uclk (uncore): 3440Mhz (multi x16).
CPU Voltage: 1.58xxv (don't remember exactly) YMMV.
QPI/DRAM: 1.575v
HT: Disabled
Speedstep: Enabled
Turbo: Enabled.
DRAM Bus:1.64v
That is pretty much it, I was able to run Super Pi: 1M, 8M and 32M, so it was benchable, not rock solid stable.
I gave my system a run last night with dry ice, and I managed to pull the max out of it, 222blck x21 cpu multi.
the settings were pretty much the same, minus the QPi voltage, it seemed I could bench the same with just QPI voltage left on AUTO.
P.S.
Its maybe my chip, but I noticed that going above 200blck (3600Mhz QPI) requires significant increase in QPI voltage.
P.S.2
I see you have an i965 Extreme, so it is basically a whole different story, Just Kick the multi up and increase the voltage, easy as pie.
Aside from that, you might have a really bad chip.
