Sorry, my Sound Cards are connect to Harmon Kardon receivers, not computer multimedia speakers. The Asus Xonar card is made more for Cans than AMPs. The Better the system (Hi-Fi/Mid-FI) used to connect the Xonar card or any other will matter. Off topic? Relevant, yes! Like it or NOT, many of us have our SOUND CARDS connected to this gear being shown off:rofl:

Tell you what, flopper & dexman - go get some AKG K701's and plug them into a Xonor of your choice. Very decent sound there (that's coming from an experienced audiophile), but you'll have to break in the 701's with about a month of 24/7 play before they really get their legs and sound like they should. They're notorious for long break-in.

Then when you get tired of wearing cans, get some killer components like mine above and drive them with the Xonar. :idea: Then you'll be able to talk about both and how they interact.
