Spoke to DFI last night about the DK P45 and they have a new BIOS on the way for existing owners that fixes the FSB limitations, but they have also done some tweaks to the design.

I really feel for DFI engineers under pressure to keep up with the insane release cycles of chipsets. It's like one after the other bam bam bam, p35, x38, x48, p45... Yikes!
The PR/Sales department must be pounding the table to get the new chipsets released while the end users are dying for support. It's really hard on the engineers stuck in the middle.
I agree with you on that. Sometimes DFI is the last to make it to the field with a new chipset release and I THOUGHT it was because their engineers were working out the kinks. After using the X38-T3R, I no longer believe that because it's the worst board I've owned in a long long time. Hopefully this P45 is better.Quote:

So far stable....letting it run for a few hours. Still dissappointing, volts to hit FSB. 1,4V ist prett high i'd say for a 45nm chipset.
