Hey guys, I'm also looking for some recommended settings for a Q6600 on the P5Q-E. I'm most interested in knowing what voltages people are using along with other bios settings (there's just too many!). Thanks guys hope you can help!

I have had my p5q-e for a few days,it seems pretty ok.
I have my 6750 at 3.2ghz(400) at stock voltage with my tracers at 1066/5.5.5.15/2.15v.I am gonna try and push it later today.
Whats the best bios for this board? I am on 0610
thanks
I gave it a try today and got 500fsb easy.

Ram is at 1:1/2.2v,NB is at 1.3v all other settings on auto.I tried higher but no go.500fsb aint bad out of a 65nm 6750.
Also like to know what the most stable OC'ing bios is for this board. Currently using 1102 beta but wonder if I should downgrade to one of the official ones...
I'm using 0802,its the most upto date on asus site,i will wait till the newer ones are official before i try them.It does 500fsb on this bios so i am happy.
Even on stock 0610 bios here 500FSB is no brainer with a good CPU... all Chipsets on stock cooling, barely get warm
Like he said ^ :D
My cpu temps up there ^^,i was not really concerned about nb temp as the nb voltage was only 1.2v.
I reckon, unless you plan going really high fsb.
running beta bios 0901 and i like it. seems this bios likes my chip better. i was only getting 3.6ghz out of my E7200 before with bios 0802 but now up to 3.8ghz, still testing it.
i did boot into windows @ 4ghz but not stable, it takes a lot more volts to get it stable which is why i gave up on it. :(
NB is cool to the touch, much cooler than P35
I have a Q6600 right now, on a 750i SLI FTW... I'm really getting hammered, OCs aren't stable at load...
Should I go for this board? How much of an advantage does 8-phase digital offer over 6-phase analog?
Now i'd really like to know, with the newer bios', is this board capable of doing the same fsb as the P5Q deluxe with a 45nm dualcore?
It's €40,- cheaper than the deluxe. :)
I need to buy a motherboard any day now,
so I was comparing the dfi P45 with this one.
I would choose the asus only if the express gate is actually working (with any version of bios. not just the stock one)
Can anybody clarify the above?
Yes. Express Gate works with atleast stock + 0802 bios. I'm having a rough time with 0802, nothing will actually work after flashing to it. Some one please link me to 09 beta?
Does anybody know if it is possible to wake on by a usb keyboard with an asus p5q-e mobo ?
My keyboard is a microsoft 200 curve , there is only an option to wake on by a ps/2 keyboard. Maybe it has to do with the energy star 4.0c options?
P5Q-E 1003 bios works fine here :
P5Q-E-ASUS-1003.rar
Do you have the P5Q-E as well? Are you a motherboard collector? :D
Which one do you prefer, the E or the deluxe?
nah mate, just build the E into a small Antec case for my nephew, he's really spoiled as he gets my 8800GTX for free... regarding dual cores there's not much seperating the Dlx from the E... small test with the quad shows that the 16phase gives slightly better results in stability... (if I can believe them OCCT graphs)
