Gigabytes build quality is second to none, ive had all the manufacturer boards and non are built like gigabyte, i use them for all my builds for customers.

TweakTown was given the opportunity to be the first publication in the world to see and photograph Gigabyte’s upcoming motherboard targeting extreme overclockers, the EP45 Extreme. The EP45 Extreme is Gigabyte’s answer to the Foxconn Black Ops board, although with a different chipset and as such is intended for bench use. This is why Gigabyte is planning to supply a LN2 duct for the CPU and a watercooling module for the chipset. The large heatsink can be removed, as it is secured with four screws on the top of the chipset cooler. This is partly done to make it easier to ship and transport the board, but also to allow for the watercooling module to be attached in an easy way.

As a concept...it's cool, but hardly practical. The PCB layout is, strange to say the least. But as they say it's intended for benching etc.

This board is targetted squarely at us extreme benchers who are most likely to be using phase or pots on a benchtop.
The BIOS which a few people will be reviewing next week is supposedly insanely full of options and (finally) every voltage readout you could possibly want.
I'll find out ASAP if there will be a DDR3 version, i'll be bitterly dissapointed if not.

So what's the word on heatoutput on the P45 chipset ? same level as X38 ?
