Yea would be interesting to see how it performs (read: how it kills everyone else) on Mark2001 lobbys :D
Think you have the time to show us some Mark2001/Sandra/PCmark action with that mean CPU? :)

Hey Kenneth, here is a before and after shot of your new computer room ! lol (10 points for anyone that knows who's room the after shot is !)
Bowmans right? 10pts should be worth a 3.0... Ill email you my address.....
Nice oc kenneth... cant wait to see some 3dmark01 benchies with that badboy...
Woww!!! Very incredible Kenneth !
Congratulations too :toast:
With my 2.4C (good 2.4) and Prometeia(no mod) I succeed to work with all the bench (included 3d 2k1 and 2k3) 330x12.. King 3500 3:2 2-5-2-2 Vcore default,Vmem 3.0v. NB stock cooling!
Over 330Mhz fsb I have some problem with 3dmark ..(only 3D)
I do not believe that the problem is the processor..Maybe is the NB that beyond a sure frequency it loses stability..
I have tried to vary the voltages and setting DDR but I have not resolved
Sorry for my bad inglish :D
Thanks,
When i get back today, im guna see what fbs i can run benches at, sure isnt guna happen at 366 heh, i think i could run sandra at 360 if i remember right, ill give it a shot later.
That is a nice board. I am wondering if I should get one

Please answer this :) what dividers for over 330-350fsb and do you run fine, ratio 3:2 ?? what vmem & vcore etc... send me a Pm please.. soon i get Abit Max 3 board self :D iam still on 330fsb with Abit Ic7-G i875pe chips :( it´s so bored
 and cheers to you
Congrats !!!
3/2 is what im using right now, i want to have some fun with 1:1 and see what this ram can do a bit later. I have 3.2 to the ram, stock core voltage.Quote:

With that burn-in method.... all cooling off I've only managed 50C in Windows......I think my heatsink is too good.
yea, its really ment for waterchillers or phase change.
I was gonna say, I had so many programs running and it still wouldn't bump over 50C...... oh well I guess
try CPUBURN yet? ;)
Kenneth, it would be interesting to see what your 1M Super PI time is @ 360+ FSB.
Macci, what is your 1M Super PI time?
Edit: Macci....just found yours. 34 sec.
I often see errors at or above 305FSB such as; sysconfig is currupted or missing I've been told to get beyond 330FSB one must use Windows 2000, what OS are you using?
I've also noticed the Northwood-D overclocks to max on default vcore, and adding voltage doesn't really seem to effect the chip. It's either a great overclocker or not. I must say given the multipler, I'm shocked at your score, it's simply amazing. Usually only 3.2C's can reach that speed because the higher multi allows it to circumvent the chipset, and system bottlenecks. What HDD are you using and besides locking PCI/AGP and 3:2 what adjustments in BIOS did you make to avoid HDD/driver corruption?
There are times I can post up to 4GHz, but the Windows splash screen fails to load. You'll hear the post beep, it'll run through until Windows should be loaing, then nothing just blacknress? but then there are times when attempting to run in 1;1 270FSB the system will give me the errors I highlighted in blue above? If the PCI/AGP is locked, i guess this has nothing to do with IDE or SATA drives right?
I'm completely blown away your NB is giving these FSB speeds. In my honest opinion i beleive were all focusing on the wrong culprit. I beleive what you have is an extrodinary NB-MCH, not an extrodinary CPU. because both my 2.4C's Malay will easily overclock to 3.6GHz using 1.525V, and the temps are between 34C to 36C. If the chips had no more headroom I'd be pumping voltage into them, and they be running much hotter. therefore it's usually the NB, HDD, and/or OS which limits my overclocking. I'm certainly not trying to minimize how great of a CPU you have, I just happen to believe these Malay 2.4C's are simply great overclockers for the same reason most chips overclock. Their all made using the same set of templates, and photomasks, it's just a matter of locking the multiplier for each particular model.
using xp, no problems.Quote:

im using an 40gb WD drive. Ive never really had any problems with coruption, i dont think macci did either, (correct me if im wrong)Quote:

i woudnt think so, sometimes i will get weird errors with diffrent combinations, i dont really think its a problem with IDE.Quote:

well i tried 2 other 2.4's on here before i got the offer about this cpu, both would do around 3.7-3.8, at first i blamed it on the waterchiller, but i still would think i should be getting lower temps with sup freezing temps period, but i didnt have any problems with this one.Quote:

but am i correct in understanding that you think the nb itself is a uniquely good overclocker?
kenneth can you check your winxp event viewer and see if you have any 'Application popup' or 'Machine check' messages ?
This may sound somewhat silly, but maybe if you have a "spare" vapo, or prometia, you could try putting that on the northbride, because even though it doesn't seem to need cooling, supercooling, might help the electron flow ;)
oh yea, nice 2.4 :D :D
Dont seem to have any.Quote:

The nb is on a diy phase change system, i think thats really what helped me get the extra mhz.
your on the front page of XS now!
oh wow :D its an honor :D thanks opp!
good to hear.. just be careful once you see those application pop machine_check exception errors you can pretty much kiss your cpu good bye (of course it could be other hardware going down)Quote:

ms kb article here
oh wow, thats an intresting read thanks for the link, never heard of that before.
Excelent OC Kenneth I havnt read a hole thread in a long time but this one just kept my intrest going. Keep up the good work and hope you get that world record.
thanks, im still on the look out for that little boost that will get me over, im letting it sit 100% load to hopefully settle in the past more, that may help a little.
Kenneth,
Could you post more info about that chiller of yours? Pics?
TIA,
JD
