I just found out through memtest for windows that the slot 2 is much less stable in mem oc than 1 or 3... in slot 2 I get errors in 1 or 3 none :slobber:
BW wise I did not experiment much cause I only have a defective gf2mx to do just a bit memtesting and burning in... crappy image :rolleyes:
P.S. I got the message that I'll receive my new 9800p soon :banana:

I can confirm that with some configs special dividers lead to more stable 3d! My friend has two twinmos ch-5 which only run 2,0-11-2-2 (veryvery strange :D) and that in their most stable manner with bios 14 and divider 3/3 !!!
Those divider do not necessarily mean the same... they should drive the chipset data always slightly different. Moreover it differs what div works best... ram or bios, or board quality.... and so on

I'm currently trying the 2+3 slots , but even if i will get better stability , i don't think this is a good issue : with 3.2V, the ram are too close to get efficiently cooled :/Quote:

TIP: save it from the bios chip with ABIT flashmenu and compress it with winrar with a "recovery record" : i don't want to get CRC error on this file since my second NF7-s is not returned :p:

P.S. Cooling wise I only put a thermaltake hspreader on every twinmos and let an 80mm fan blowdownwards along the ram slots/ram hs... They do not even get warm after a burnin session fo about 6hours with memtest windows/sandra mem burn in :slobber:

In case they will get warm i think a decent fan should be sufficient to cool things down. :)

i bumped 3.6v through my khx 3500 (bh5) and it barely got warm, the twinmos 3700 with the twinmos tmd 4.3ns chips got super hot though! burned my fingers after 10 min memtest :eek:
yeah thats singles channel, 8 multi has a higher int but lower float. I dont get it either. I cant get this thing to run dual channel at 500 for the life of me. I got the ram that will do it. Three different pairs. The only thing i can think of is the chipset needs better cooling and more voltage. The only thing is the chipset does not get hot. Should I go over 2.0volts on the chipset?

You, my friend, are about the 6th person who got this same experience, a bit too much to put down to coincidence in my book.
Nice to hear you're getting around the problems. ;) Keep up the good NF7 stuff. :)
For now, at low VDD voltages my 2.0 performs best too... In a few days I'll post a WCPUID screenie with a pelt on my NB :D
